The days they spend in Moscow flew by. Natalya had fun and she enjoyed the endless attention Lando offered her, the romantic dinners he took her to and the sightseeings they did everyday, where she could tell him things about the city he didn't know yet. She loved the boat trip over the Moskva river, which took them past beautiful buildings and parts of the city. But all fun eventually came to an end and they were on their way to the airport, where Lando's jet was ready for them. Their luggage was loaded into the aircraft and Natalya directed a last, doubtful look at her suitcase with the thought of how she had to sit down on it this morning in order to close the zipper. She hoped it wouldn't burst open mid-flight. They had been shopping too much for sure. Natalya was tired even though the trip hadn't been specifically tiring. She had loved being around Lando, however, she sensed she could use some time for herself now as well.

Luckily, she had tomorrow off before she would get back to work. "I'll drive you home when we get to Madrid. I have somewhere to be in Madrid anyway," Lando spoke up as they were seated in the leather seats of the jet. Natalya nodded slowly. "With Carlos?" she asked, but he shook his head. She leaned her head back against the leather seat, the belt clicked around her as the jet got ready for take off. Lando had his laptop on his lap for a bit, and she didn't want to disturb him. Natalya looked out of the window meanwhile, looking at how Moscow became just a little dot in the cloudy world beneath them. "Excuse me being on my laptop, love," Lando spoke up as he noticed she had been quiet. "Just looking over some stuff for the meeting I have later today," he explained. "It's fine," Natalya said, her eyes briefly catching his. Lando let his eyes glide over her features as she looked away from him again. "Will you get back to work tomorrow?" Lando asked.

"Yes, I have the evening shift," Natalya said. "I haven't seen you dancing in a while," Lando sighed. "Do you miss it?" Natalya hummed, her lips curling upwards. "Hmm, I'd rather have you dancing just for me some time soon," Lando replied, grinning slightly. She let out a breathy laugh in response. "I'm busy the upcoming period. I have to travel a lot," Lando announced. "Just so you know," he added. "That you're not ghosting me?" Natalya finished. "More or less," Lando shrugged. "You're my girl after all," Lando continued. Natalya gave him a sweet smile and looked down at her nails, picking at the edges and her cuticles. "Is everything alright?" Lando suddenly asked and her bright eyes looked back up at him. "I'm fine, just tired. I need some time for myself, just relaxing, you know?" Natalya replied and he nodded. "Yes, of course," Lando said and he decided to drop the subject and he started about something else for the remaining hours of the flight.

Natalya felt uneasy sitting next to Lando in his car while he drove her back to her apartment. It wasn't Lando who made her feel uncomfortable, she was just going over the conversation she had with Gianluca. He had warned her that they were in too deep and she figured he was right. To admit it, Natalya was a bit scared to confess that she didn't want to obey Carlos' demands anymore, and that she wanted to break their contract to leave Madrid and start working with Lando in London, and with his Eastern partners. The partners Sainz longed to know everything about. In either way, Lando would know about the secret situation with Carlos. If she breaks the contract, Carlos will surely break the contact with Lando and they become the biggest rivals. If she stays with Carlos, she had to explain the reason to Lando. Natalya hated how Lando noticed that she was not herself today, which made his hand reach out for hers, his fingers drawing soft circles on the inside of her palm in order to comfort her silently.

Lando stopped the car next to the pavement, turning the engine off and getting out to walk around the car and open the door for her. Gianluca would follow soon enough, his car carried her luggage too. "Can you walk me to my door?" Natalya asked and he nodded, closing the door of the car behind her before they went into her apartment building. They walked the stairs to her floor and Natalya held the keys in her hand. "Natalya, I just-..." Lando started, confused by how cold and non-responsive she had been today. "I'm sorry for how I was today, I had a lovely time in Moscow and there are just some things that I need to tell you," Natalya blurted out. "Please, just come inside for a bit?" she asked, her eyes reflecting something he had never seen before. Lando didn't have the time for it, but he sensed it was important. Natalya was about to twist the keys in the lock as the door was already open. Without hesitating, Lando drew his gun from his belt and pushed her aside to move in first.
