Let's get this party started!

"W-what? You liked it w-when I did th-that?" Rani asked, a million thoughts running through her head.

"Um...it made me feel better," Kion toothily grinned.

"Oh, that makes sense."

Kion closed his eyes and giggled. Rani's heart imploded again but she paid it no mind. All her concentration was on the adorable lion in front of her. She took a deep breath and swept her tongue across his scar and eye.

Adorably, Kion nuzzled against her chest and soon, he was asleep. Rani's insides were sloshy as she felt like a mother taking care of her baby.

The lioness just decided to call it a night and fall asleep. And that she did.

Surak, Baliyo, and Nirmala awoke in the morning to have breakfast. The Night Pride mostly stayed awake 24 hours and only slept when they felt there was no trouble. Baliyo made his way to the Tree of Life to see Queen Janna.

"Come on, slowpokes!" Baliyo grinned.

Surak opened his mouth to show mock shock. "Who are you calling slow?" He sped up until he reached Baliyo and gasped. Nirmala raced to their side to see what was the problem and gasped as well.

Rani was curled up and her hand on Kion's back, soothing the pain of the bite. Kion lay flat.

"Awwww..." Nirmala gushed happily.

"They are cute," Surak smiled, "Look at Rani, how happy she is. I haven't seen her this happy in ages!"

"You're right Surak!" Baliyo opened his mouth in an O.

Suddenly, Surak gasped, "Down!" Nirmala and Baliyo hid under a bush. Surak had to hide somewhere else as his mane showed everywhere.

Rani woke up and giggled when Kion got closer. "Wakey wakey sleeping beauty!"

"Who are you calling a sleeping beauty?!" Kion squinted his eyes at her.

Rani stifled a laugh when Kion looked at her mock angrily. He was just so adorable! "Aww Kion! Don't you want breakfast?"

"Fine! Ow!" Kion tried to get off the rock and only succeeded in falling on some twigs which got stuck in his skin. Especially around his injury. He let out a cry of pain and groaned.

Rani gasped and put Kion back on the rock. She gasped again when she saw the twigs. One moment, he was giggling, and the next second, he was crying. It happened so fast, she didn't have time to react.

"Kion...don't you ever do that again!"

"I feel like I'm just a burden to your responsibilities and work. I feel like I'm making everything harder!"

"You are a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e." She spelled out the word. "You could never ever be a burden! Actually, you just make things easier for me." Rani gently pulled on a twig. Kion groaned.

"How?"

"I feel happier when I'm by your side," Rani said. She gently yet firmly plucked out a twig. She did the same for the other twig.

Kion processed her words and blushed dark red. "R-really?"

"Wait what did I say?"

"You said you feel happier when you're with me."

"WHAT?!?! Oh my gosh, Kion-"

"But do you really?" Kion tilted his head.

"Well, I mean, you're cute and all and it makes me explode but-"

"Wait I'm cute and you explode?"

"I mean my heart explodes and yeah, you're cute," she admitted with a blush.

Meanwhile, Surak, Baliyo, and Nirmala were secretly giggling to each other.

"Wait guys we need to go see Queen Janna!" Baliyo whisper-shouted.

"Right. Let's pretend we were just passing by," Surak suggested. The Night Pride pretended they were just strolling by and laughed when they saw Kion and Rani's expressions.

Rani's face was horrified in a funny way and Kion's face was pure red.

"Look at your expressions!" Baliyo chuckled.

Rani immediately recoiled and realized she had to eat breakfast. "Kion! Let's go eat breakfast. And this time, let me carry you."

"Fine." Rani put Kion on her back with a little help from the Night Pride and headed for the Tree of Life. When they entered, Makini was already there, preparing breakfast.

"Oh hey guys!" The mandrill called.

"Hey, Makini." Kion groaned as Rani placed him on the floor. "Where's my breakfast? I'm hungry."

"Here." Makini gave him some mango juice and a bit of impala. "I found this impala dead!"

"Okay," Rani replied and Makini gave everyone some impala meat.

Aww, how adorable Kion was! Rani couldn't stop stealing glances at Kion as he slurped his juice and ate the impala.

Everyone finished their breakfast and left. Rani, however, was worried about Kion. So she asked Queen Janna.

"Grandmother, how long will it take to heal Kion's back and chest?" She asked.

Queen Janna replied, "It will take some time, my dear. Why are you so concerned? Do you want him to be out of the Tree of Life quicker?"

"No! It's just...nevermind..." Rani sighed.

"You can tell me anything, dear. But I respect your privacy."

"I want to tell you, but I don't even know it myself."

"Think about it. I would suggest reflecting on your actions. Take your time dear."

Rani thanked her wise grandmother and trotted to the Lake of Reflections. She peered into the deep lake, trying to think. What was this feeling inside? Why did it keep bothering her? Why did she keep thinking Kion was cute? Her mind buzzed with questions.

"I don't know!" She shouted at the water, slapping it, her reflection disappearing. Rani. Stop. If you yourself are confused, ask someone else you know. Someone that will help you, A wise voice whispered.

"What now?" She said aloud. Who could give her advice? Instantly, Fuli came to mind. So did Nirmala. And her parents.

"Okay. So, first I'll ask Fuli. Then Nirmala. Then I'll seek counsel from my parents."

Rani found Fuli racing a tortoise. "Uh, Fuli? What are you doing?"

"Ugh, no one wants to race me except this tortoise!" Fuli shouted.

"Okay, um...I need advice. Please?"

"Sure! Anything is more fun than racing a tortoise," Fuli agreed and walked with Rani to the Lake of Reflections.

"So, what advice do you need?"
