My Love For You | THE LION GUARD | Kion x Rani

This Feeling Inside

Hi! New chapter update! Let me know if you want any update on any books. Sometimes, I feel like writing Miraculous Ladybug and now I feel like writing Lion Guard. Updates depend on my mood, lol.

"So, um...okay, let me put it this way. When I first met a strange lion," Rani took a deep breath, "I hated him. Now, I think he's cute and I constantly want to be near him. What is that feeling?"

"Is it Kioonnn?" Fuli teased.

"NO! DEFINITELY NOT KION!"

"Wow, you're jumpy!"

"FULI!"

"Sorry! Okay, I would think you're attracted to that person," Fuli answered, then bent down to take a drink from the lake. 

"You mean-As in-" Rani couldn't believe it.

Fuli stopped drinking to finish her sentence for her. "Love. Yes, you're in love with Kion, Rani."

"It's not Kion!" Rani yelled. 

"It is! Besides, he's the only other lion I've seen you spending time with except for your brother and Surak."

"Fine!" The lioness sighed. "Do you think he loves me back?"

"Depends. You have to ask Kion for that answer. Sorry, Rani."

"It's okay! You helped a lot. Now to go see Nirmala!" Rani trotted around the Tree of Life habitats and found Nirmala standing by the River of Patience.

"Hey, Nirmala? I have a question." Nirmala  turned to face her and smiled softly. "Come Rani. What is it?"

"Well, I'm in love with someone. Soooo, what do I do?" Rani cringed at Nirmala's expression. It was filled with shock.

"Rani? You? In love? Are you even Rani?"

"Of course I am! Why ask?"

Nirmala sighed. "Because the Rani I know doesn't fall in love. The Rani I know rejected all the lions that came to ask for your paw."

"I feel happy whenever I see him. He's adorable and fierce. None of the lions that asked for my paw had these qualities. Most of them were looking to be kings and the others wanted my beauty. But this lion, he didn't fall for me. I fell for him..." Rani smiled shyly. (My favorite line)

Nirmala plastered a super shocked expression across her face. "Really, Rani? Who is he?"

"I-I can't tell you. I am unsure of it myself. I'm not ready to tell anyone."

"Come talk to me whenever you need help figuring love out. I know more about it than you think." Nirmala winked at her and left Rani to think alone.

"Who is he? He's Kion. When did I fall for him? Probably today. What are his qualities? I already answered that. Why did I fall for him? He's adorable, fierce, caring, kind...Mom? Dad? I need help right now," Rani called out for her parents. 

Rani's parents appeared, smiling and saying, "Yes, my child?"

"I-I don't know how to tell this to you," Rani started. "But I think I'm in love with a lion.."

"Rani? Look at me," Her mother said. Rani looked at her mom. "Your destiny will lead you to your perfect mate."

"And if you think you already found him, confess to him," Her father added.

Rani exclaimed, "What if he rejects me?" Pain and sorrow filled her heart.

"That is a risk you must be willing to take. You cannot leave your feelings deep inside your heart. You must let them out," Rani's dad responded.

Her mother and father chorused, "Follow your heart..." And they left. 

"Wait! What does that mean?! MOM? DAD!" Rani turned around to see Baliyo, carrying Kion. She rushed to him and asked, "Why is Kion here?"

"He wanted to talk to you. In private." Baliyo put Kion on the ground and pranced away. 

"Huh?" Rani sat down. "What is it Kion?"

Kion just got comfortable in the grass and stared at the ground. 

"Kion? Answer me!"

"I wanted to talk to you because I needed someone to talk to."

"Oh. Alone feeling again?" Rani asked and Kion nodded. She tickled him on his arm and he mock gasped. Her laugh filled the air as Kion whined because he couldn't do anything(he was hurt). 

"Adorable little cub," she said under her breath, angry at Kion for being so cute.

"What was that?" Kion tilted his head.

Rani buried her face in the grass. "Stop that!"

"Stop what? Rani, what's wrong?" 

"Stop being adorable! It's too much for my weak little heart to take!"

Kion gasped softly. She thought he was adorable. He processed those words again. SHE THOUGHT HE WAS ADORABLE!!!!!!!! "Your weak little heart?"

"Yes! You're too cute and my heart explodes every time! I might die! You wanna kill me?"

"No! But how can-" Rani silenced him with a sob. "Rani! What? I don't understand!" Kion dragged himself to her side. He tried to calm her down but she wouldn't stop crying. He sighed. He knew what he had to do. He licked her cheek. Did he just-, Rani gaped at Kion.

"Stop looking at me like that!" Kion looked away. Rani giggled and came closer to him so her face was mere inches away from his. He didn't notice this but when he turned his head, he recoiled. "RANI?!"

She laughed so hard, she cried. She fell on the grass, laughing hard. It had been a long time since she had laughed like this. She rolled right into Kion's arms and they both gasped. Rani was rolled into Kion's arms, head in his paws. 

"Uh..." There was a quiet silence. 

That silence was interrupted by a huge sound coming from the mountain pass. The romantic moment was disturbed, sadly. Rani cursed under her breath, "Stupid sound." 

"Wait, Rani! I want to help!" Kion tried to walk. 

"NO! Stay where you are. Please, Kion. I don't want you hurt again. If you move, that will be the last thing you do," she warned, though she didn't really mean the last sentence.

Kion nodded, full of fear at Rani's bold warning. Rani rushed off toward the sound.
