"Huh?" Kion turned around and saw four brown lions standing on the mountain pass. "Wait what? Who are you?"

"We're the Night Pride. And we are the last thing you'll ever see if you don't leave right now" was the reply. 

"Uh, she sounds mean," Bunga said.

There were four brown lions. Two of them were lionesses. One lioness had a flower behind her ear and one was glaring. Another one of them, male, had a mane coming out on the head. Another had a full-grown mane. 

"No. We will not leave. We came to-" Kion started.

Big-mane lion growled. Glaring lioness yelled, "Charge!"

"Ugh!" Little-mane lion decided to annoy the already annoyed Kion. The lion decided to jump all over Kion and knock him out. 

"Oh no! Get off him! Right now! You'll regret it!" Bunga shook his fist.

Fuli tried to get Little-mane lion off Kion but Kion was already very, very, very angry. Kion stood up and his pupils got smaller.

"Kion stop! No! Kion listen!" Fuli tried to stop him, but alas, he already started. Kion roared the lion through the pass, and all the way across the other side of the Tree of Life. 

The leader of the Night Pride pinned Kion to the ground. "That was my brother you sent flying!"

"Look, I'm sorry," Kion tried to explain, "i'm trying to get to the Tree of Life-"

"GET OUT OF THE TREE OF LIFE! AND NEVER COME BACK!" She shouted. She pushed Kion away and sent Flower-lioness to go get Little-mane lion. 

"Oh no..." Beshte looked at Anga who, for the first time, had sorrow in her eyes. She had wanted to see Ono happy again to have his sight back. And she wanted to see her friends happy that Kion was healed.

"Let's go..." A teardrop fell from Kion's eyes. 

Fuli looked at the ground and stole a glance at Anga. Anga decided to scan the skies for a path out. But she saw a sight indeed. Makucha, Chuluun, and Ora were headed right for the pass! 

"GUYS! LOOK OUT! MAKUCHA! CHUULUN! ORA!" She screamed at the top of her lungs at the Lion Guard.

"Lion Guard! Get in position! Fuli and Anga, you have Chuluun! Beshte and Bunga, Ora! Makini! Get Ono to safety! Makucha is mine," Kion shouted his orders which the Guard followed. 

"You know those threats?" The lioness who told him to get out asked. 

Kion nodded, "They must have followed us here."

"WHAT?! YOU'RE THE CAUSE OF THIS? YOU WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER BE WELCOME AT THE TREE OF LIFE!" She screamed and told the Night Pride to charge. "And this is our land. We protect it. Not you."

The Night Pride collided with Makucha, Chuluun, and Ora. Kion attacked Makucha while Fuli headed for Chuluun. Beshte sent Ora flying, while Big-mane lion fought Makucha's left flank while Kion attacked the right. 

Glaring-lioness yelled a battle cry and swiped her claws at Chuluun. Fuli smiled and raced around the snow leopard, making Chuluun dizzy.

"Whoa!" Chuluun fell on the ground.

Kion glanced at Glaring-lion and spotted Ora, smirking. He figured Ora would bite her. "LOOK OUT!" Kion yelled and pushed the lioness out of the way, getting chomped on instead. But Ora had planned his most powerful bite, The Massive Chomp. His teeth sank into Kion's skin and the Lion Guard leader cried out in pain.

Glaring-lioness pushed Ora away, making his teeth come out of Kion. "Fine. At least some damage happened. Makucha! Chuluun! Retreat!"

"But wh-" Makucha glimpsed Kion, collapsed on the ground. "Yes!" He saw Chuluun, dizzy. Makucha dragged Chuluun away, grinning evilly.

"KION!" The entire Guard shouted and raced to the lion's side. 

"I'm fine..." Kion glanced up to see the Night Pride and the rest of the Lion Guard looking at him, worried faces everywhere.

"You are not! Look at you!" Fuli pointed to the teeth marks in his skin.

"What just happened?" Ono asked, safe.

Beshte told him, "Kion got chomped on by Ora. The venom should wear off right?"

"HAPANA! Yes, but the teeth marks will hurt, since he was chomped on," Ono said.

"Is there any way to help him?" Bunga asked Flower-lioness, who had returned with the other lion.

"Yes," she replied. "We need to bring him to the Tree of Life. Queen Janna would know what to do."

"Alright, fine. But how are we going to carry him?" Glaring-lioness pointed at Kion. 

"No I'm fine! I'll walk." Kion tried to get up, but failed. His body hurt and refused to move. 

Fuli looked at the leader of the Night Pride. "You're doing it. Or the full-grown male lion."

"My name is Rani. And his name is Surak. The lion your friend sent flying was my brother, Baliyo. This is Nirmala." Rani pointed to each lion.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to," Kion apologized, still ashamed for losing control.

Rani accepted his apology and Anga lifted Kion and put him on Surak's back. The Lion Guard and the Night Pride walked through the hole in the pass they had knocked because of the battle. 

Kion gasped at the sight in front of him once they arrived. Everyone was breathless except for the Night Pride. "Whoa!"

"Come on." Rani walked into the Tree of Life and came out a few minutes later. "Bring him in."

The Lion Guard walked in and gasped at the sight. "This is so cool!" Bunga shouted.

"You, young one, are full of energy." A voice said.

Everyone looked at the weak lioness, laying on a rock.
