"Aang, this was really fun. Thank you for everything," I said smiling.

"No problem. See you tomorrow, friend!" he said.

"See ya, airhead," I said chuckling.

I headed back to my house. I closed my house door once I was inside and sighed.

"He's so dreamy," I said to myself.

"Wait a sec!" I came to a realization. "No no NO!!! There is NO WAY I'm in love with Aang!!!"

I kept thinking about him and convincing myself that I'm not in love with Aang. I mean, he must be in love with somebody else. Why would he like me?

Katara's POV

BEEP BEEP! BEEP BEEP!

I took off my stupid alarm and got ready for school. I spent all night convincing myself that I wasn't in love with Aang. Ugh, this boy drives me CRAZY!!!

I brushed my teeth, took a shower, and put on a white T-shirt and blue pants. I also put on my black hoodie over my shirt. I was about to eat breakfast when my phone vibrated. I saw a notification that said Aang texted me. Ugh, what does he want?!

Aang

Aang: I'll come to pick you up.

I texted back with...

Katara: Whatever.

Aang's POV

I finally reached Katara's house.

"Hey, Katara!" I called as I got out of my car and walked to her.

"Hey," she said back. She was leaning on a tree next to her house. She had her black hood on her head. I don't know why she wears it.

"Come inside, we still have like 30 more minutes," she said to me smiling. I don't think I'll get used to her being nice. I followed her into her house. It was more of a cottage than a house. It looked very small and old.

"I made some pancakes. Want some?" she asked, giving me a plate of 2 pancakes.

"Thanks," I said, taking the plate.

I looked around her cottage. I saw a few pictures of a man and woman and a little girl and boy.

"Are they you're parents?" I asked, pointing to the man and woman. Her smile that she wore earlier turned into a frown.

"Y-Yeah," she said sadly. "They were killed by the Criminal Couple," she said turning away. I regretted asking her that question and brought her into a hug.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that," I said to her.

"No, no. It's ok," she said back. "This necklace is all I have left of them," she said while showing her necklace. It looked Water Tribe, so I'm guessing they were from the Southern Water Tribe.

"It was my mother's betrothal necklace," she said, sadly smiling.

"You look beautiful with it on," I said, not even thinking.
