Wu woke me up so he didn't bother me when he woke the boys up. So here we are, in the doorway to the boys' shared bedroom. A cup of tea in my hand and a cymbal in Wu's hand. He bangs the cymbal making them all groan. I chuckle behind my cup.

"Evil doesn't sleep and neither should you!" Wu says and bangs the cymbal. The boys groan once again. "In order to reach your full potential, we must greet each day as an opportunity."

"Okay okay, we're up. But if you want us to reach full potential, shouldn't we at least get a full night of rest?" Kai says as he gets up and yawns.

"You call that rest? I think my back has more lumps than the mattress." Cole says, stretches his back.

"We were up so late, talking about how cool it is to have a new headquarters, I guess we lost track of time. Since the Serpentine burned down our monastery, I'm just glad we have a roof over our head..." Jay says. He tries to brush his teeth but instead of water he got dirt from the faucet and spit out the tooth paste.

"What is our lesson today, Sensei? Mastering the strike of the Scorpion? Or perhaps the grace of—" Zane gets cut off by the ground underneath him breaking, causing dust to fly up, making him cough. I walk over to him and give him my hand to help.

"I think today's lesson would be chores." Wu said calmly.

"Chores?!" The boys shout.

"Ninja fight, Sensei. They do not clean." Cole complained.

"In order to respect ourselves, we must respect our new home and where we are from. And this place is a long way from becoming a ninja headquarters. I expect things to be spotless when I return. And put your backs into it." Wu says and bangs the cymbal as he leaves. I go to the doorway and lean against it, watching what they do. Since those were my instructions.

"This place is gonna take forever to clean and fix up." Kai grumbles.

"Well," I speak up, standing on my own, "you should probably get to work then." I wink and begin to walk away.

"Wait," Zane says and I stop and look at him, "aren't you going to help?" He asks. I chuckle and continue walking away.

"Nope!" I shout, chuckling.

When the boys finished cleaning they came to get me to inspect everything. I gotta say, I am very impressed. So I was now in the game room with the boys, giving Cole a back massage since he was complaining about it this morning.

"What took you so long?" Kai asked Wu and Nya.

"Wow, this place looks amazing! You guys did all this?" Nya complimented.

"Ninja don't just fight, Nya. We clean." Cole said, pointing at her.

"Oh, you have exceeded my expectations..." Wu trailed off as he was cut off by a honk outside. Nya walks over to the window as he continues, "...but can you keep it up?"

"Looks like we're about to have some visitors, and loud ones at that." Nya said.

"Ugh...It's my parents. Please, if they start yapping, just don't get them going, okay? They don't know when to quit. And if you start talking then they'll start talking, and suddenly half the day is gone before you know it ends..." Jay rants before Kai cuts in.

"We get it! They talk a lot...the cherry doesn't fall far from its blossom." Kai mumbles the last part. We all head to the deck to greet their arrival.

"Mom! Dad! What are you doing here?" Jay asks, obviously faking his happiness so I smack his arm and glare at him when he looks at me.

"Oh, look! It's my baby boy! It's been so long since we heard from you!" Jay's mom, Edna, exclaims as they walk over.
