(A/N: Welcome to Gotham Markets!)

Life as Ladybug was anything but ordinary. Marinete had seen and done a lot that most people could never even dream of. She had been on top of the Eiffel Tower more times than anyone. As Ladybug she had been pushed and jumped off and swung around the tower more times than she could count, and yet if given the option she would rather do any of those things than ride on the back of Jason's motorcycle. That at least she knew and could control, though those first few times had been pretty intense.

"You drive like an absolute lunatic!" she complained after getting off the bike and taking off her helmet.

"It's not that bad. Dick is way worse." Jason said in his own defense. Marinette made a mental note to never go on a bike ride with dick. Before she could say anything a shrill voice interrupted them.

"Miss Dupain-Cheng what are you wearing?!" Ms. Marabelle demanded in a practical screech as she charged over. Marinette looked at her teacher and saw her classmates staring. From the way Lila was whispering to Alya and had no doubt she was stirring everyone into a frenzy. Which wasn't surprising in the least.

Jason watched as the pathetic excuse for a teacher came over to do her job. Funny how she often forgot about doing that. She was dead wrong of course but he supposed she got some points for effort. Unfortunately this bitch was about to be put in her place.

"Miss Dupain-Cheng and Bourgeois! While I am aware that this trip is meant to be relaxing and fun that does not mean you may wear whatever you want" Miss....whatever her name was scolded. Jason had no idea what the stupid teacher's name was and he didn't care that he didn't know. "You will return to your lodgings and change or you will not be allowed to return!"

Marinette smiled and Jason almost leaned forward. Oooooooh he liked that smile, it promised a good show. "Well actually Miss Marabelle." Marinette began as she pulled something out of the little black leather backpack purse she wore. "I made all my outfits according to the school's dress code guide lines. I have a copy if you need to review it. And also a measuring tape if you feel you need it." Her tone was pleasant and sweet with just a hint of 'I know I'm right'. It was wonderful. Jason was so happy this pixie girl had come into his life.

Chloe was LOVING this side of Marinette. Honestly if she had met this Marinette years ago they would have been friends from the start. Chloe appreciated a nice back bone. The old Marinette had been so sickly sweet that it had made Chloe want to gag. Sweet perfect Marinette, everyone liked her and she didn't even have to try. She even had a pair of loving parents who took an active interest in her day to day life. Chloe could hardly say the thing about her own parents.

Okay yes Chloe was now in a place where she could admit that she had been jealous of Marinette back then. She made friends so effortlessly, like she wasn't afraid if people didn't like her. Her own parents didn't even care enough to spend quality time with her so why would her peers like her? That was the old Chloe's reasoning. She pushed others away before they had a chance to reject her. Her only friend in the beginning had been Adrien whom she had known since they were both children sitting around bored at the same dinner party and charity event. Later there had been Sabrina, but as soon as those thoughts came she pushed them away. Sabrina had made her choice and so had she.

A small mean spirited part of Cloe felt satisfaction that Sabrina was not on this trip. Sabrina had always gone where Chloe went and Chloe paid for them both. Her police officer father had not been able to afford the cost of the field trip. And of course Sabrina's new best friend conveniently had just donated her allowance to some bullshit made up charity right before the due date. Not that Chloe was surprised. She was still bitter as hell and hoped Sabrina was having fun in study hall or wherever the school had stuck her while her class was away. But it was fine, one day Sabrina would see how wrong she was just like all the others.
