(A/N:Marinette makes Tim a special treat...Damian is less than thrilled and does something about it.

At this point Jason uses name Replacement as a term of endearment. Sort of. He is working on not calling Tim it as much. 1) Because Marinette will scold him and 2) Magic protection or not he knows if he slips up and calls Tim that as Midnight the others will know who he is. He's pretty sure it's only a matter of time but that doesn't mean he wants to speed things along.)

Tim had not slept well after getting home from patrol. He replayed the interaction with Ladybug and Midnight over and over in his head. Midnight seemed pretty hostile, but then again he was from Gotham so it made sense. Still, Tim worried that he had messed things up by offending the guy. What if he tried to dissuade Ladybug in taking their help? Ladybug seemed pretty level headed but this was her partner, her other half. That carried a lot of weight. He wondered what it was like to have another half. Sure he loved his family and they worked together in different ways. But to know someone was your perfect partner...he couldn't imagine that feeling.

"Good morning Tim! Wow, you look exhausted." Marinette greeted him.

Tim blinked and looked around. When had he gotten into the kitchen? "Oh....um....I had a late night. But to be honest I rarely sleep well." he admitted as he went to pour himself a cup of coffee.

"You look like a zombie." Chloe said, barely looking up from her phone.

"That's saying more than you know." Jason chuckled

Tim frowned. Why was Jason always here now? It was nice and all....but he could only take so much. Suddenly a plate of something red and yellow with a heavenly smell was placed in front of him. His eyes widened a little. "What are these?" he asked. They looked like little puffed up donuts with..... "Is that the Red Robin symbol in powdered sugar?!"

"I made you beignets to help you start your morning off on a sweet note. I made you beignets with a chocolate espresso filling." Marinette smiled. "And yes that's the Red Robin. He's such a cool hero. Plus you really like him right?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jason thought after last night he'd sleep in until noon. But he had woken up feeling oddly energized. He had his doubt about how things would work out but he was glad Marinette had insisted on them going out to train. Being Midnight felt like nothing he had ever done before, for the first time in a long time he felt like he had a real purpose. He didn't think he would ever be able to give up being Red Hood, he still had a lot to do, but being Midnight wasn't like what he had been worried about.
He wasn't sure what he was going to do that day. It was honestly still a little weird to be casually sitting at the breakfast table at the manor. But he wanted a front row seat for whatever was going to go down this morning. Life had never been this interesting before. Having Marinette in his life was enough to make him casually hang out around his family. It was a lot to take in. It didn't hurt that Starfire and Mar'i were in residence. He had always known Dick would make a good father from the way he took over raising Damian after Bruce 'died'. Mar'i was probably the cutest kid in Gotham.
Tim stared down at the plate before him in confusion, as if he wasn't sure what to make of them. Ha had to admit Pixie Pop had outdone herself. Jason wondered if she secretly felt bad about how hard he had been on Red Robin last night. Probably figured Replacement could use a win.
"How did you know I like Red Robin?" Tim asked as he placed a beignet on his plate. Of course they all boosted their alter egos whenever they could. But Jason wondered how Marinette would explain this.
"We talked about him the first day we met at the coffee shop." Marinette smiled without missing a beat. If he wouldn't have to explain himself Jason would have clapped.
"We did?" Tim asked, looking puzzled.
Suddenly Marinette looked worried. "Oh no did I get it wrong?" she asked in a fretful tone. "Is he not your favorite. Huh....maybe you said Red Hood?" Jason almost snorted into his cup of coffee but the look of horror on Timmy's face was too damn amusing.
"N-no you got it right." Tim quickly reassured Marinette. Jason could literally see the wheels in his brain spinning as he tried to remember the conversation and was coming up short. Jason was pretty sure this conversation had never happened but Marinette was just showing Tim some support in her own way. He had to admit that it looked like it was doing the trick from the look on Tim's face after his first bite. Pixie Pop was literally a magical girl.
"Good morning all." Damian greeted as he came into the kitchen. Jason sipped his coffee. Things were about to get interesting. "What are those?" Damian pointed to the Red Robin beignets.
Damian sat at the table and raised an eyebrow at the plate of what looked like little donuts with the Red Robin symbol on them.
"They are chocolate espresso beignets I made for Tim." Marinette explained. "I know he likes Red Robin so that's why I made his symbol in powdered sugar. Researching the vigilantes of Gotham has been so interesting. Reading fansites about Red Robin has been a lot of fun!"
Robin felt himself frown a little as a bowl of oatmeal with fruit on top was placed in front of him. He didn't know why but hearing Marinette talk about Red Robin made him feel annoyed. Drake was subpar at best compared to...others. Why did she sound so interested in him? Clearly she hadn't done much research. Damian knew that there were people who liked what his family did and there were those who found them redundant. From what he understood Ladybug and her team were quite beloved by the citizens of Paris.
He grit his teeth as Marinette spoke once again about the talents of Red Robin. He could not let this go on.
"Marinette!" he said with a rush of something. He suddenly felt a need to do something. But now that the blue eyed girl was looking at him with a curious expression he wasn't sure what that thing should be. "I'm not sure if you were aware but today there is a...fair in upper Gotham today. I was wondering if....you would allow me to escort you." He felt his face growing hot but there was no turning back now, even though he was sure he was on the path to disaster. He was Damian Wayne and he did not back down! Though perhaps it wouldn't hurt to explain himself a bit more. "After all Gotham is still a dangerous place...I....I would not want misfortune to fall upon you."
(A/N: Yes Damian just ask Marinette out on a date. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!)
