(A/N: Marinette has changed her outfit and Big Bro Jason comes out a bit. Nino is bummed out until Adrien comes through)
Jason let out a low whistle as Marinette came back in the kitchen. Her outfit of black yoga pants and a tank top had been good for a casual day around the house or going out but maybe not for a day at the fair. He was starting to think Marinette was a secret genius. She certainly was bold in her choice of clothing. Her pants were dark red and he wasn't sure he approved of how they hugged her hips. Her black tank top had a robin sitting on a branch embroidered in gold. Wasn't that neckline a little low? "Aren't you worried about getting cold?" he asked. It was his first time seeing her hair in a different style, it was in a simple but elegant looking side braid, and he had to admit she looked very cute. Which made him frown a little because he wasn't sure if he was ready for this.
"Oh that's no problem." Marinette smiled holding up a red jacket that had the Robin symbol on the left breast, just where demon brat had his symbol on his uniform. The green pixie boots and black purse with a Robin symbol, probably for Tikki to ride in, completed the outfit. The outfit was cute but he had some notes. His eyes went over to Damian who was staring at Marinette. Would it be weird to give him the intentions talk? Jason took comfort in the fact that Damian was looking at Pixie Pop like she was a goddess that had come to earth for a visit. Plus he wasn't even sure if Damian knew what to do with a girl.
"So Pixie Pop what's up with the Robin theme?" he asked. When blue eyes met his own he knew she knew what he was getting at. She was being a little on the nose in his own opinion. But maybe the best way to hide information you knew was to flaunt it?
"Well I had quite a few ideas for outfits so I brought a lot." Marinette answered smoothly. "Chloe said this was a good idea because I have a tank top for when it's hot and a jacket for if it gets cold later on." Oh she was good. He noticed Chloe hadn't changed and what she was wearing, which supported his thoughts that this was going to be a date between Marinette and Damian. It was still a little weird to think about the demon going on a date. Maybe Dick should have the intentions talk with Damian. He had a kid after all.

Damian was starting to feel a little under prepared for the day to come. When Marinette went to change he hadn't expected her to return in another Robin themed outfit. He would have never imagined that she would be so inspidered that she came up with more than one. Not that he had disliked what she had been wearing before. Over the years he had gone to several fairs and similar events. Mostly he was dragged there by Richard who insists on them doing this so he could experience more normal childhood things. He would complain but he was sure Richard knew that it wasn't how he felt deep down.But what did one do when escorting a nice young lady? He glanced at Todd who seemed to be looking between himself and Marinette. He wasn't sure what that was about. Drake looked like he was ready to fall asleep again, so he was as useless as ever.
"Just let me get Mar'i dressed and we'll all go together!" Richard announced as he put some dishes in the sink.

Nino....had been doing better. While he didn't regret breaking up with Alya, he did miss her. Or maybe it was more accurate to say he missed the old Alya. The girl who wanted a story and would hunt for it. Now it seemed like she was glued to Lila's hip. It was like she couldn't do anything without Lila's approval. When he looked at the Ladyblog he was shocked at what it had become. There was hardly anything about Ladybug and when she or her team was mentioned it was never anything good. When had the Ladyblog turned into such a gossip rag? Before, Alya had always told him about new articles because she was so proud and excited, wanting his input. He had been so distracted with trying to maintain his relationship, school work, his music, and trying to help Adrien have some semblance of a normal life. He hadn't noticed that she had stopped asking him to read her newest articles."Hey Nino."
Nino looked up at Adrien and tried to smile. "Hey man." he greeted.
"How are you?" Adrien asked.
Nino couldn't help but offer a small smile. Adrien was always so caring, he hated conflict and just wanted everyone to get along. Nino loved his best bro but he had to admit that Adrien could be very naive. But he knew he could always count on Adrien to be there for him. It might not always be in person but Adrien always found a way to reach out to him. And that was why Nino would never give up on Adrien. "I'm...." he wanted to say he was okay but he wasn't sure if that was the truth. So he sighed. "Man, I don't even know. I miss Alya but I can't support everything she does anymore. I should have put my foot down a long time ago and I feel like I failed"
Adrien nodded a little at this. "Well we have a free day, do you want to go do something?"
"I don't really want to go sightseeing." Nino sighed.
"Sitting in our room moping isn't going to help." Adrien pointed out. "I was thinking that we could go to that fair Mr. Jason told us about. Maybe we'll get lucky and run into someone interesting."
Nino looked up in surprise. "You think Marinette and Chloe might go?" he asked. Nino wanted nothing more than to talk to Marinette. Maybe even try to get to know Chloe again. It was something he had never put a lot of effort into, but if Marinette was friends with her then there was no way she was the same old Chloe.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Does this answer your question?" Adrien held his phone out and Nino's eyes went wide. Chloe had sent him a picture of herself and Chloe with the message 'Off to the fair!'"Chloe sent you that?!" Nino asked.
"Clearly." Adrien said in a rare snarky moment.
"Why?!" Nino asked.
"Because she trusts me to do the right thing." Adrien knew that Chloe wasn't very happy with him, and that it was probably thanks to Marinette that she even deigned to speak to him. None of them deserved Marinette friendship, and the fact that she would one day forgive them when they were ready to earn it back was proof of that.
Adrien wished he could be braver and be willing to risk more. But he had spent so many years practically locked away not arguing because he wanted to please his father. Things with Lila had spiraled so far out of control. Adrien wasn't sure how to get things back on track. Though now Adrien was thinking that he could help Nino in the way Nino had helped him. Chloe had sent that picture to him for a reason. Marinette missed Nino and now that he was ready it was time to get the two friends back together. Adrien couldn't openly be friends with Chloe and Marinette. He hated it. For now he could only do small things in secret.
Pamela hummed softly as she watered her plants. When her phone buzzed she paused in what she was doing and picked it up. Her eyes went wide at the picture Selina had sent her. She knew that Selina followed the twitter accounts of her fiance's children. She had to admit that some of the things she shared were quite amusing. Her favorite were the things that the eldest posted."Harley, woul you like to go to the Gotham fair?" she called out loud enough for her partner to hear.
It didn't take long for the blonde to come charging into the room. "Are you for real Pammy?!" she squealed. "But I thought you said after the petting zoo incident we would never go to one again!"
"I do remember that but there is something important we need to look into." Pamela answered sweetly as she showed the twitter post
Better Ass Than Nightwing@TherealDickGrayson: Dami will kill me if he ever sees this. But thankfully he thinks Twitter is stupid. So I can post things like this!
Attached was a picture of Damian and Marinette in line for tickets at the Gotham fair with the caption 'First Date!' with a lot of heart emojis.
Harley snatched the phone and stared. "Who said that little Wayne brat could date our Lapis?!" she screeched.
(A/N:Dick's has two twitter accounts. One for Dick and one for Nightwing. He put the picture of Damian and Marinette on private so only friends can see it. He wouldn't want paparazzi coming after the kids. I don't have twitter so if that's not how it works, it's how it works for this story.And yes there was a time when Dick started a twitter fight with himself to argue who has the better ass between himself and Nightwing. The debate is still going on.)
