Mason finally got off his shift at 6:00 so now he and Skylar were on their way to New York where their mother was at least that's what their dad told Skylar before he died.
"Are you sure about this" Mason asked Skylar to break the silence. "No not even a little bit Skylar told him and looked at him as he focused on the road.
"Think we should call Aiden" Mason asked her. "No not till we know the truth" Skylar told him, and he nodded turning at the light.
They eventually made it to the hotel and got their room key as they went up to unpack and get settled in.
Mason ordered pizza for dinner considering it was a long drive and they had a long day tomorrow ahead of them, so they decided to have the day to themselves.
"How long do you think dad has been keeping in contact with her" Mason asked Skylar. "I'm not sure the only thing he said to me before he died was well you know aside from the reason why we're here" Skylar told him taking a bite of her pizza.
"Yeah, I know this is going to be one fun trip" Mason said being sarcastic making Skylar laugh.
"What are you going to do about Logan and Nico" Mason asked Skylar.
"I have no idea at one hand Nico, and I grew close but there's the fact that we had a one-night stand that something drawn me to him but what is the question" Skylar told him.
"He's like you in ways caring understanding he loves dance maybe he reminds you of the you you used to be before dad died and you went all well not you" Mason told her.
"What are you talking about" Skylar asked him. "Sky you quit dance you saw dad murdered mom left and let's not forget about your miscarriage" Mason said.
"Okay what about it what are you getting at" Skylar asked him.
"What I'm getting at is that you eventually quit being the fun adventurous little sister I love you used to dance all the time now I don't remember the last time you danced for yourself you loved competing now you go to bars and drink the night away you used to be so full of life and adventures and I understand why I do but I miss the old you" Mason said.
"Mason, I don't think I can get back to who I am or who I was cause everything I am is dad and he's gone" Skylar said feeling a couple tears fall on her cheek.
"Okay yes everything you are is dad but dad would want you to be happy not with sorrow and I think Nico reminds you of that I can't be sure" Mason told her.
"Then again Logan and I have history and he's been there every step of the way from mom leaving to Aiden then dad's death and lastly my miscarriage how am I supposed to choose when I'm attracted to both of them" Skylar asked him.
"You follow your heart see where it takes you" Mason said and she smiled at him.
"Thanks Mason" Skyler told him. "Anytime sis you know I'm always here for you" Mason told her and smiled.
They soon finished their meal and got ready for bed knowing none of them was sure if this was a good idea.
But they both know that they had to know the truth one way or another .
Mason was sound asleep in the bed next to Skylar as she walked to the room she quietly walked to her bed got under the covers turned off the lamp and eventually fell asleep hoping nothing turns into a disaster.
