It was the next morning Skylar was the first one awake, so she decided to make breakfast for her and Mason before they try to track down their mom.
Skylar heard footsteps behind her telling her Mason just woke up. "Morning Mace" Skylar said using the nickname she gave him when they were kids. "Mace, haven't heard that in a while" Mason said.
"Not sure why maybe after the incident it just slipped out of my mind" Skylar said.
"Yeah, maybe what you, making" Mason asked sitting at the kitchen table. "Biscuits and gravy with some bacon" Skyler told him finishing up the bacon.
"My favorite" Mason said, and Skylar smiled. "Figured I make your favorite since it's been a while" Skylar told him finishing everything else up putting them on plates walking over to table and setting them down.
"Thanks sis I always enjoyed your cooking just like dad's" Mason told her. "I did learn from the best" Skyler told him as she sat with him, and they ate.
"You ready for this" Mason asked her, taking a bite of his bacon. "As ready as I'll ever be" Skylar told him.
"No matter what happens I'll be right by your side like always" Mason told her, and she smiled while eating her breakfast.

Mason and Skylar eventually made it to the cafe it was a small cafe but well known. "There she is" Mason pointed to their mom in a waitress uniform and to Skylar's surprise he was right.
She eventually spotted them and was in shock as she should be she slowly made her way towards her kids.
"Mason, Skylar what are you doing here" she asked them. "Can we talk" Skylar asked her, avoiding the question.
"I get off in 5 can you wait we can go to my place" she said, and they nodded. "Okay" she said before returning back to work.

After Skyler and Mason's mom's shift was over they went back to her place it was a 2 bedroom complex.
"Nice place" Skylar said trying to act nice. "Thanks do you want anything to drink" she asked them. "Mom we came to talk that's all" Skylar said and she nodded.
"Well please have a seat both of you" she said as she sat on the sofa.
Skylar and Mason sat opposite of her not knowing where to start. "So where is she" Skyler asked breaking the ice.
"Where is who" she asked trying to act clueless. "Don't play dumb mom we know" Mason said cutting in. "He told you didn't he" she said finally getting at what they were asking her.
"Right before he died in my arms so again where is our sister" Skylar said angrier this time. "She's at school she's studying to be a teacher" she said.
"So what leaving us wasn't enough that you just had to run off and start a new family after blaming Aiden for years of being just like his father when you did the exact same Mason snapped at her.
"It's not like that" she said trying to defend herself.
"Oh no then what is it Aiden is in a mental hospital cause you told him to kill himself why would you do that your his mother for crying out loud" Skylar said.
"He would end up exactly like his father I never wanted to be a mother in the first place" she yelled not realizing what she said.
"Mom" Mason said making her realize what she said as she went wide eyed.
"Well lucky for you you never were a mother to us dad had to quit dancing to take care of us remember" Skylar said as she tried to avoid eye contact.
"If you never wanted to be a mother why did you run off and have another" Mason said cutting in making her look at him.
"I didn't i was raped I gave her up for adoption" she said without any source of guilt.
"Then how do you know so much about her" Skylar asked. "I hired a private investigator to see if I made the right choice" she admitted.
"You never make the right choice you just do what's right for you" Skylar said. What's her name do you know that much" Mason asked her.
"Constance I can give you her adoptive parents information I kept a copy in case they were not the best fit" she said.
"Please do I would like to meet my sister since I never knew about her till recently I'm not even sure how dad knew" Skylar said making her nod and leave to get the papers.
She returned shortly handing Skylar the papers with their address, numbers, etc. "Is that all" she asked looking at her children. "So far yes if not we'll be in touch you ready Mace" Skylar asked him.
"Yeah let's go" he said getting up and they both left not saying a word to her. "So what now" Mason asked Skylar as she looked at the papers with Constance information on it.
"Well first we need to talk to her parents they probably have no clue about us so we need to take it step by step" Skylar told him. "Where to where do they live" Mason asked her.
"Beacon Hills we better go check out and hit the road" Skylar said and he nodded as they got in the car and left.
They soon checked out making sure they had everything as they packed up the car setting up the GPS and Skylar made sure to call Constance's parents before they randomly showed up explaining that she was her older sister and she would like to meet them to explain the rest in person which they agreed to and offered for Skylar and Mason to stay in their spare bedroom which they agreed to considering they don't know how long they would be staying for.
Mason turned up the radio some driving in the night as Skylar smiled at him and leaned against the window watching the stars pass wondering what Constance is like or if she would want to even know them after all their mother never gave them that choice she just up and left.
