Chapter forty five

Logan and Skylar were currently waiting for the doctor to be examined as Skylar sat on those examination tables you see at the doctor office while Logan sat in the chair across from her.

It was quiet too quiet, and Skyler knew she should tell Logan that she knew how he feels about her, but she was scared to.

Then when she just couldn't take the silence anymore, she blurted it out. "I know" Skylar finally said surprised she even said it at all.

"Know what" Logan said putting his magazine away looking at Skylar in the process.

"How you feel about me" Skylar said causing him to stand up and walk towards her.

"What are you talking about" Logan asked. "That you're still in love with me" Skylar admitted, and Logan looked at Skylar in shock probably wondering how she knew and right when he was about to say something the doctor walked in.

"Ms. Renalds" he said as soon as he walked in. "Yes" Skylar said as she looked at him.

"Are you ready to find out the gender of your baby" he asked looking at her. "More ready than ever" Skylar said back to him.

"Very well and who's this" he said gesturing to Logan. "This is Logan he's the father of the baby" Skylar told him.

"Nice to meet you I'm Dr Monroe" he said to Logan. "Nice to meet you too" Logan said to the doctor.

"Alright why don't you lay back lift up your shirt a little" the doctor said as Skylar did so while he sat next to Skyler in his doctor chair.

"This might be a little cold" he warned Skylar before putting the gel on her.

"Wow no kidding" Skylar said suddenly feeling the cold gel. He moved the wand around on her trying to get a great picture on the screen before showing them.

"Alright there's your baby looks like it's a girl" he said showing them the monitor.

"A girl" Skylar asked making sure she was hearing him right. "Yes congratulations" the doctor said confirming it once again as Skylar smiled at the monitor before turning to Logan.

"Did you hear that we're having a girl" Skylar told him as he just continued to look at the monitor completely in awe.

"Logan, Logan wait," Logan heard Skylar say as they reached his car. "What" Logan said as he turned around to face her.

"Please we have to talk about this" Skylar said. "Talk about what" Logan asked her. "This is" Skylar said gesturing between them.

"What is there to talk about you were never supposed to find out Sky" Logan told her.

"And why not" Skylar asked angrily. "Because you deserve to be happy after everything that happened you deserve to be happy" Logan told her.

"And you don't Logan you deserve everything you ever want including this baby" Skylar said.

"And that's why I didn't tell you because I rather sacrifice my happiness then see you hurt again it kills me every time, I see you with Nico, but I am willing to sacrifice everything I want so you can have the happy life you deserve even if you're not being true to yourself " Logan told her.

"What are you talking about" Skylar asked Logan. "Don't play dumb" Logan told her. "I'm not playing" Skylar told Logan as it started to rain.

"You honestly don't see it" Logan asked her, and she shook her head.

"Sky your still in love with me I can see it in your eyes I know you I have for years I know what you look like when you're in love even when you don't want to admit it" Logan said when he was about to get in the car.

"No, you're wrong I don't I love Nico okay you and I are done it's over I" she rambled on before Logan interrupted her when he kissed her holding her waist and she didn't dare to pull back when he gave her the opportunity.

After a few minutes Logan eventually pulled away regretting it missing the way her lips tasted.

"Tell, me that doesn't mean anything, and I will let it go" Logan said realizing she couldn't say anything because she knew it was true.

Logan got in the car on the driver's side noticing Skylar was still in shock. "You coming" Logan asked her, snapping her out of it and she got in the car buckling up while Logan drove off.
