They soon arrived at the hospital and went to Emily's room. "Mom" Constance said teary eyed hugging her while Nico and Skylar sat down. "What happened" Skylar asked them suddenly.
"She just started getting worse all of a sudden had to bring her here" David told Skylar and she nodded.
"They're going to do some tests and if things stay worse than they will probably keep me here try to get it under control but if I'm good I'm good to go home" Emily said.
"I'll stay with you" Constance offered but Skylar could see that's not what her parents wanted.
"No Constance you won't you have school" Skylar said, and they gave Skylar a small smile thanking her.
"After school" Constance offered. "No" Skylar told her. "Why not I am old enough to make my own decisions" Constance argued.
"Constance I am aware of that I am, and I know you want to be there for your parents, but school comes first it's what we all agreed on and we don't know what's going on right now we just need to give everyone a few days okay" Skylar told her.
She sighed but eventually agreed leaving to go get some food while Nico went out in the hall giving Skylar, Emily, and David privacy. "Thank you" Emily said to Skylar and she nodded.
"How much longer do you have left" Skylar asked her. "Days it's only a matter of time" she said, and Skylar nodded. "I want to thank you for taking Constance in" Emily told her.
"No need she's my sister it's what family does" Skylar replied to her.
"I know but she will need you more than ever now once I'm gone and I want you to keep in touch with David" Emily said before David interrupted her.
"Honey" David said. "No, I have to say this I may not get a chance I'm so glad Constance has you guys and I'm so happy that we were able to be her parents while we could along with meeting you and your brother" Emily said.
Skylar started to tear up but quickly wiped it away before they noticed and excused herself to see Nico still in the hallway as she ran into his arms hugging him while he didn't hesitate to hug her back.

Nico and Skylar decided to grab lunch together while Constance spent some time with her parents.
"How is she" Nico suddenly asked. "Could be better I suppose she's getting worse by the minute" Skylar replied back to him, and he nodded.
"You know I never exactly had a mother mine didn't want me" Skylar told him.
"Wait what, she didn't I never knew" Nico said. "Yeah, we don't talk about her much she put Constance up for adoption without even telling us we had a sister and not allowing us to meet her" Skylar told him.
"Wow that's just well uh" Nico struggled to say. "I know don't worry I'm used to it she didn't want any of us she never wanted to be a mother" Skylar told him.
"No one should have to go through that" Nico said holding Skylar's hand on the table.
"I used to sneak out to Logan's with Liv when dad was working, and mom would never notice Mason and Aiden basically lived at my aunts till mom moved out" Skylar admitted.
"Sounds awful" Nico told her. "Yeah, it was but not everyone has their happy family to go home to" Skylar said.
"Yeah, I actually know how that is I told you the story about my dad but my mom she was the other way around she was the best" Nico said seeming down. "What happened to her" Skylar asked.
"She died giving birth to me since then my father just could never get over her death made it worse when I came out looking exactly like her, then he started blaming me for her death, he stayed drunk for most of my life occasional hookups might even have a brother or sister" Nico said.
"Nico" Skylar started to say but he stopped her. "No, it's okay it is what it is no one is perfect, and no one should expect to be one night our neighbor's called CPS and that's when they found me unconscious on the floor bleeding with bruises everywhere they took him to jail and took me to my foster family who adopted me" Nico finished his story.
"That was awful your dad doesn't deserve you and no matter what he said it was not your fault you were just a baby, things happen" Skylar told him, and he smiled giving her hand a squeeze.
"Thanks, I needed to hear that" Nico told her. and she smiled back.
"I should go check on Constance will you still be here" Skylar asked. "Yeah, I'm not going anywhere" Nico said, and Skylar nodded before leaving to go check on Constance.

"So, then you came and told the entire class I was a catch I wouldn't go to school for a week" Constance told her parents and they both laughed.
"Oh, I remember" Emily said before coughing. "Mom, mom, mom " Constance said.
"I'm fine I'm fine, promise me something sweetheart" Emily said, and Constance nodded.
"Whatever happens just know we love you and the person you are and that everything we do is for you even if it doesn't seem like it" Emily said.
"I know mom, why are you saying this" Constance asked.
"Just know that your father and I made mistakes, and we don't want you to make the same mistakes okay you are the best thing that has ever happened to us okay and whatever you do I'll always be watching" Emily said before closing her eyes.
"Mom, mom, mom no mom, mom" Constance kept saying over and over but in reality, she knew what was happening.
Nurses rushed in along with Skylar and she was saying something to Constance , but she couldn't hear through the sounds of her own tears falling on her face.
"Constance, Constance " Skylar kept saying till she eventually heard her.
"We have to go we need to leave the room okay I'll grab your dad and meet you in the waiting room okay I'm your big sister go, go" Skylar said, and she nodded leaving quickly wiping her tears as soon as Skylar heard Constance yell, she knew what was happening so she ran to her as fast as she could.
Skylar rushed David out of the room leading him to the waiting room hoping everything will be okay as all the doctors and nurses worked the best they could.
