Patton closed the door wearily, thoughts still bugging his mind. What had Roman been trying to tell him? It seemed super important. Alas, there was nothing he could do for the time being to find out, so he would just wait until they got a chance to talk again.
As Patton wandered down the hall, he greeted the servants, who were now used to him and greeted him back. He was a very friendly and social person, so it didn't take long for him to make friends in the castle, however he steered clear of King Agnar, doing his best to avoid any accidental run ins.
He feared that man, but he also didn't like him, because of obvious reasons. That man was cruel and cold, and he basically forced them to come to his kingdom. Patton didn't like him at all.
"Your highness, do you have a second?" a soft voice spoke behind him, and Patton turned to see Chloe, a servant girl around his age he had recently met. He smiled.
"Sure! what is it." he answered, and a small smile brightened her face, easing the atmosphere.
"You just need to approve of these clothes..."
As the two talked, another figure was walking down the halls, inspecting the work of the castle. As he neared the two in the midst of their conversation, he slowed to a stop just behind the corner.
He didn't know why, but for some reason he found himself thinking of the bubbly prince quite often, even when he tried to push him out of his head.
As he stood there at the corner, he found himself wondering what he was doing. Why was he acting so foolish as to stand and eavesdrop on the guest of the castle, but as Patton let out a cute giggle Logan found himself transfixed on his face.
When he first met the prince he assumed it was just another servant in the castle, one with exceptional soup making skills, but after seeing him at the dinner he easily connected the dots. An apron and chef's hat was certainly not enough to fool him, however the fact that he found the prince in the kitchen making soup intrigued him.
He found himself visiting the kitchen more frequently and chatting with the unusual prince. He had told his father right away at his discovery, but his father's advice was to pretend not to know who "Pat" really was. Really, the name wasn't even trying to be undercover, he didn't know who Patton was trying to fool.
Still, when he met "Pat" he treated him like he would any other servant, with no titles or formalities. At first it was highly uncomfortable, addressing a prince in such a manner, but he quickly got used to it and now found himself using the common title instinctively, almost causing a few slip ups.
The prince finished his conversation with the servant girl, and waved to her as she walked away. He was so kind to everyone, it was so naive. The logical boy huffed as he emerged from his hiding spot. He didn't even know what he was doing at this point.
"Logan!" Patton yelled cheerily, spotting the boy walking towards him. Thank goodness he didn't see Logan hovering around before. He was painfully oblivious.
"Your highness, how may I be of assistance?" Logan answered, and Patton just beamed. He acted like seeing Logan was the best thing that happened to him, it was quite... cute. Wait, cute? Logan shook all his thoughts off him and focused back on the prince. Whatever these feelings were, he better forget them, and quickly.
I was in the mood for some Logicality. I know I have been practically dead, I just didn't have motivation. Sorry about that. Hope you enjoyed this chapter, stay fabulous.
