(Roman's POV)
Roman dashed down the hallway, keeping note of the landmarks he had memorized earlier. He reached the room in a huff, taking a second to catch his breath, then going inside. He had a couple minutes to fix his appearance before someone came to fetch them.
As he styled his hair and smoothed out his clothes, his mind went to the mysterious stranger. He had to admit the purple hair and eyes intrigued him. He had never seen eyes that color, and it made him wonder if the hair was natural too.
The other aspects of the guy were also nice to look at. He had a lean but muscular body, nice clothes, and plump lips. It made him wonder- no, no. He couldn't get caught up with a guy he would probably never see again.
He sighed once more, and was interrupted by a knock on the door. He went to answer it.
Standing outside his door was a very flustered young maid, and when she looked up, she gave a squeak of surprise.
"Oh, um, your majesty." She quickly curtsied. "Are you and your brother ready to depart?"
"My brother is most likely already there, but I am ready." Roman stated, looking at the confused maid with a kind smile. She blushed and looked away.
"Oh, very well. Please follow me." She spoke quickly, turning and walking down the hall. Roman followed after her.
When they reached entrance to the dining hall, the maid quickly curtsied and hurried off, leaving Roman to stand there for a second, before a giddy Patton bounced in.
"Patton, you seem to be in a delightful mood. Mind telling me why?" Roman asked smiling at his younger brother's mood.
"Oh, Roman! I was in the kitchen, and I made a new friend, and I was complimented, and he liked the soup, and-"
"Woah, slow down there Pat, one thing at a time." Roman reminded his brother, the excitement slowly becoming contagious.
Patton took a breath. "Well-"
"There you two are, perfect. You are right on time. Now let's go over some things before we go in."
Both the brothers turned around to see King Agnar striding towards them. They both bowed, albeit somewhat stiffly.
"Well there are a few things we must discuss." King Agnar spoke, motioning them to rise. They did, and they looked at the king with polite expressions.
"You mustn't tell any of my children the little agreement. According to them, you are here to marry one of my daughters to form an alliance, which is true, so just leave some parts out. Second, you are our guest here. You can go anywhere except leave. When visitors come, you tell them the same thing you tell my children. No one is to know but us, understand?" He finished, and both boys nodded.
"Excellent." King Agnar hummed, as he he opened the doors. "Let us feast."
