The four of them talked until dawn, when unfortunately the two had to sneak out before they were caught. They planned to meet two days from now, and Roman promised to bring Patton along so he could meet his other big brother. He wondered how he was going to explain this to the cheerful prince, seeing as Patton didn't know about Remus. He decided to just go out and explain it, since there was no easy way around it. He figured Patton of all people would listen and try to understand.
When it was time for the Roman and Layla to get up for the day, they placed the pillows and blankets back and acted as if they slept in the same bed the entire night. When they both stumbled out bleary eyed and sluggish, the news traveled around the castle like lightning. By the time breakfast arrived, everyone in the castle had heard that the young princess and the dashing prince had coupled the night before.
Breakfast was, to say the very least, awkward. Every time Layla and Roman tried to start a conversation, the king would smile smugly and Virgil would glare at him, so breakfast was eaten in almost complete silence. When the meal ended, Roman practically ran from the room, Patton close in tow.
When they were safely in their room, Patton turned to him with questions hot on his lips.
"Roman, did you really sleep with the princess?" he asked worriedly, looking at his brother as if to see if there was any physical damage on him. "You've been acting weird since you've got back."
Roman made a pained expression, and fell into one of the nearest chairs. Patton, taking this the wrong way, quickly rushed over to comfort him.
"Oh Roman, I'm so sorry, it must have been awful for you to do that." He hurried, and Roman looked up in surprise.
"What?! Patton no, I didn't sleep with the princess, I'm thinking about something else." He sighed, looking away from Patton's relieved face.
"Oh good, sorry, I just thought that you might have done it with her and now it is haunting because of the fact well... you know. But I'm glad! That means you didn't do anything you didn't want to do. What is on your mind then?" Patton questioned, and Roman groaned at his brother's happy expression. Oh how is he going to do this?
Hey, sorry I have been MIA for a bit, I had a huge case of writers block. This part is short but I will probably upload another part later today. For now, stay fabulous!
