This is just a little bit of Patton POV. We get to meet Logan in this part, so have fun.

(Patton's POV)

They exited their room and made their way down the hallway. Roman had a pretty good memory, so he kept an eye on his surroundings making sure they could find their way back. Patton soon stopped in front of a door.

"Oh gosh, it smells so good." Patton sighed, sniffing around the door. He pushed it open a crack and gasped. Inside was a huge kitchen, with bustling maids, and skillful cooks. Patton's smile grew and he took in his surroundings. He loved cooking, and back home the kitchen was one of his favorite places. Roman, seeing his reaction, gave him a light push.

"Go on and ask if they need help. I can tell you want to." Roman prodded his brother. "After just ask them where the dinning room is, and make sure not to lose track of time."

Patton beamed at him, and then stepped into the bustling kitchen. Immediately, a frantic cook spotted him.

"Oh dear, where is your apron! Here here, take this one." She said while pushing an apron into his hands. He put it on quickly. "Now dear, please get to work on the soup, and then if you finish in time please help with the cake, but don't rush! Now shoo, shoo! Get to work." She lead him over to a huge pot. Someone plopped a chef hat on his head and he got to work.

He grabbed spices and herbs, getting into his element. He mixed and sprinkled, putting just the right amount of each ingredient. When it was time, he called out for some meat, and was rewarded with a large slab of steak. He prepared it and put it into the pot, letting it sit for a second.

He sat back and wiped his forehead with a rag, proud of his creation. Suddenly, the kitchen went quiet of all chatter, and everyone looked toward the door. Patton, confused, looked as well.

There stood a very professional looking character, clipboard in one hand and a stoic expression on his face. He had black rimmed glasses and perfectly styled hair. Patton physically gulped. One of the servants, noticing his reaction, explained it to him.

"Judging by your reaction, you haven't been around long enough to go through one of Sir Logan's inspections." She whispered. "He comes around from time to time, especially on big events, to check the food and things, and he is very hard to please. Usually, he just gives a simple nod, but I saw him once go off on a poor girl because she burned a steak meant for one of the visiting kings." She visibly shuttered. "While he may be incredibly handsome, he rarely shows any positive emotion, usually only wearing the expression he is now. He is really smart and has an amazing memory, so if you get on his bad side you'll stay there for a while." She turned to look at Patton while Logan went around inspecting the food and occasionally ordered for a sample. Patton didn't know what to make of it.

"He will probably go really hard on us today because of the visiting princes. Did you know they came today?" She asked Patton. Patton, realizing he couldn't be recognized, quickly shook his head.

Logan had now reached his soup and was inspecting it, before taking a ladle and tasting it. His eyes widened.

"Who made this!" He barked, making everyone around him flinch. Patton was terrified, gripping on to the servant's sleeve.

"U-um o-oh I-I did S-sir." Patton stuttered terribly, stepping out from behind the servant. Logan's eyes zeroed in on him, making Patton shake. Then Logan nodded and spoke.

"Well done." He stated, and Patton's eyes widened. "R-really? Oh I-I mean t-thank you S-sir." Patton quickly bowed and Logan moved on. Once he was gone the servant Patton was talking to before stared at him.

"I don't think I've ever seen him do that. What did you put in that soup?" She asked, and Patton fidgeted.

"Oh I just, um, put ingredients?" He questioned at the end, not sure how to answer that.

The servant smiled and then held out her hand. "Well I'm Margret." She said, and Patton gladly shook it.

"I'm, uh, Pat." He replied, happy to have made a friend already. "Do you know where the dining room is?"

She looked at him confused. "Wow you really must be new. Yes I do, just go through that door and take a right, it will be the third door on you left." She pointed to a door off to the side.

"Thank you!" He replied, then took off down that direction, shedding his hat and apron as he went. He straightened his appearance and then went to the dining hall, pretending like he had never set foot into the kitchen.
