Edward stopped before a large tree that almost seemed to scrape against the sky, its color changing leaves almost making it seem as if it was from an enchanted forest. "So ... we are climbing trees?" I questioned, tilting my head to the side, looking at Edward confused, I already know how to climb a tree. It's not like I lived in a city or something.

"For now lass, trust me it'll be fun." He stated before climbing up the tree with ease, anyone could've easily mistaken him as a monkey. I watched in amazement, I was good but not that good, it was cool to watch him jump and swing around the branches. "Your turn lass." Edward called out from above.

I took a breath in and out, before climbing up to the first branch before moving on to the next, the higher I went the slower I got, not wanting to slip and tumble down. That would definitely break a few bones and hurt ... a lot. I could feel my limbs began to shake a bit, as I climbed higher, my muscles tensing to keep my balance. Before I reached Edward, who helped me onto the branch next to him.

A chuckle slipped through Edward's lips, "Not bad lass." He patted my shoulders, nearly knocking me off balance. "Now let's take this up a notch." He spoke with a cocky grin as he ran along the branch, having perfect balance almost like a cat, before leaping off the branch he was on, jumping onto another branch of a tree right across from him.

I blinked up at him in shock, surprised he didn't slip or even miss a step, I know I would have. I'm naturally clumsy to the point I trip over air, especially with only one eye working. "Cool." I whispered out, looking at him in amazement.

"Now you try lass." Edward spoke as he looked across at me. I gave him a blank look, slowly registering what he just said.

"Wait what?" I questioned, as I finally registered what he just said. "I'm not doing that! I'll fall flat on my face! I can't see out of one eye you know!" I exclaimed as I scooted closer to the trunk of the tree.

Edward then held out his hand, a soft smile stretching across his features. "I'll catch you lass, you just have to trust me." He stated as I looked down, the ground all of a sudden becoming further away than I expected.

I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath in and out, before letting out a groan, "Fine but if I break my arm I'm blaming you!" I stated as I stood up on the branch, using the trunk of the tree to keep my balance, before taking a test step towards Edward. Before letting out a sigh, 'Well here goes nothing.' I think before starting off at a full sprint, each step landing on the branch perfectly. A confident smile began to make its way onto my face, thinking I might actually make it ... that was until my foot slipped once I reached the middle of the branch, I tried to leap forward to at least grab the branch Edward was standing on but only met halfway before I began to feel myself begin to fall.

I closed my eyes bracing for impact, before I felt an arm wrap around my waist, as I felt my falling come to a stop, my feet dangling in the air. I blinked open my eyes, as I wrapped my arms around the person's neck, looking over to see Edward who seemed to let out a sigh of relief. "Let's do this thing closer to the ground from now on ay lass?" Edward chuckled, while I nodded offering him a small smile.

Then both of our attention looked upwards as he heard a small crack, noticing the branch developing a crack in it. "D@mn it." Edward grumbled just as the branch snapped, causing the both of us to fall through the branch, heading straight towards the ground. Edward turned around midair quickly, his back facing the ground as he pulled me close to his chest just before we hit the ground.

Leaves fell around us, while I pushed myself up, looking down to see Edward letting out a groan. "Edward! Are you alright!?" I questioned, looking down at him with worry.
