I opened the glass door, walking into the bar wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt. I looked around as people began to chat with one another, laughed, and there were even a few make out sessions happening.

I roll my eyes at the sight before walking up to the bar counter, sitting myself on top of a stool looking around for a familiar figure. "Well, this is rare." I looked across as the male spoke. "(Y/N)? At a bar?" Desmond spoke with a smirk, leaning onto the counter.

I chuckle, looking up at him while saying, "I can't miss my best friend's first day on the job." I say as Desmond pushed himself off the counter, fixing a drink.

"Awe how kind of you." He spoke as he poured the contents into a glass before placing it in front of me.

I picked up the glass while handing him my card, "Don't get used to it." We both laughed as he swiped my card, punching a few buttons before handing it back to me. "So, how has the night been so far?"

Desmond let out a sigh, "Busy, kind of surprised how many people go out and drink on a weekday." She spoke, nodding towards the people sitting out in booths as well as along the bar.

"Maybe they need a drink after being at work all day." I joke with a shrug, looking up at him with a smirk.

Desmond scoffed, "Wish that was me." I laugh, before hearing some call out to Desmond. "Be back in a moment." He spoke, holding up his finger before walking over to the customer, leaving me to my drink. I smiled softly as I watched him fix drinks for his customers, I could tell he was still a bit new to this, especially with mixing drinks, but he seemed to pick up quickly.

My smile faded as I turned to look down at my now empty glass, "When should I tell him?" I wonder out loud, tracing the glass with my finger.

I looked up at Desmond with confusion, my mouth dropping as he began explaining everything from him basically getting kidnapped by Abstergo to his death. "I still don't know how I'm alive or ..." He trailed off as he looked down at one of his hands, looking at it while saying, "Intact."

I reached out, touching the place my necklace rested, looking down in guilt yet relief. "I know why ... we all do." I say, gesturing towards the closed door, before looking back up at Desmond, while his brows contorted into confusion.

"You do?" He questioned, his tone laced with confusion, before they widened as I pulled out the pendant from under my shirt, the pendant now giving off a faint glow once it came to sigh. Desmond walked closer, taking the pendant in his hands but didn't take it off and instead examined it with his eyes. "How did you find this?" He questioned, tearing his eyes away, looking up into my own.

"Remember how I got this scar?" I ask, pointing to my scared eye with my free hand.

"Yea?" Desmond answered, his eyes narrowing in thought.

"Well, long story short, I went back to that cave and found this inside the cavern then took it back here." I explained, basically summarizing everything so I didn't have to go into a long story telling mode like he had to do ... which I was still comprehending what he told me. Although ... I can see a few similarities between him and his ancestors. Altair looks a lot like him, almost identical, they could be mistaken as brothers.

"Ok." He spoke with a nod before asking, "How is this all your fault?"

"Well ... I uh ... sort of spoke out loud when I was around the necklace. Saying ..." That's when I trailed off, my eyes widening in realization. "Oh my god that's it!" I exclaimed, a bright smile on my face. "Desmond, you're a genius!" I say, placing my hands on either side of his face before turning away walking towards the door.
