Amrita's POV-

We found Sanjay Burman's address. He lived in Bandra, not so far.

Sia, Raj, Nikhil, Ashok and I went to Sanjay's house.

Akhil, Rishi, Kaajal stayed back at the headquarters for backup.

We 5 went to Bandra by our car. Raj and Nikhil went in Nikhil's car and Sia, Ashok and I in Ashok's car.

We walked up to Sanjay's house and knocked on the door. An middle-aged man peeped his head out but didn't come out fully. He looked like he just woke up from a nap.

"Yes?" He asked, rubbing his eyes.

Nikhil took out his gun and placed it on Sanjay's temple.

All the sleep disappeared from Sanjay and his eyes widened.

"HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS! WHO ARE YOU? I SWEAR I DON'T HAVE MONEY! I AM BANKRUPT AND MY BUSINESS SHUT DOWN PLEASE LET ME GO! I BEG YOU!" He screamed and opened the door fully.

Ew.

He was wearing only an underwear.

Nikhil covered my eyes and Raj covered Sia's eyes.

"Sir, wear a shirt and pants and come out. Fast!" Nikhil ordered sternly.

I didn't know what happened since my eyes  were closed. When I opened them again, Sanjay was clothed.

"Why are you guys here and why do you have a freaking gun?!" He asked, actually yelled.

"We are the Mumbai Police. This is my badge. You are one of the suspects for the Laal Bangla case. We saw you passing by Little Birdy Cafe the night the incident took place. We are taking you under arrest, but first we need to interrogate you. Kindly come with us and cooperate," Nikhil said calmly.

Sanjay blinked twice.

"WHAT!?" He shrieked, raising both his hands.

"Yes, sir. We have the CCTV footage," I stated.

"But trust me! I am not the murderer! I have never even killed an ant in my life!" He yelled.

For some reason I wanted to believe him but couldn't.

In this profession, you can't listen to your heart.

We took him to the car, handcuffed, despite his struggles.

We dragged him to our headquarters and not the police station because this case had to be done undercover.

Kaajal, Akhil and Rishi were waiting for us.

I hauled Sanjay to the interrogation room and tied his hands to the chair arms.

Nikhil stood up and leaned in front of Sanjay, placing both his hands on the chair.

"Why did you murder them?" He asked calmly.

Sanjay let out a frustrated sigh. "I didn't! I never murdered anyone! Please believe me!"

"That is what any murderer would say," Nikhil replied.

Well, that was true.

Nikhil asked Sanjay ten times more but Sanjay kept repeating that he did not commit any crime, let alone murder.

He then rolled up his sleeves and punched Sanjay right on his face. His scream echoed all around the room.

Nikhil repeatedly kept punching Sanjay but Sanjay's answer was the same.
