"So

"So....," She began, "I am from Chicago. I had a pretty normal life. Loving parents, loving siblings, loving friends. I remember I was in high school...a new kid had joined. His name was Arjun. We clicked instantly and started hanging around everyday. We went out for movies, for lunch, for coffee. We were close friends. I started crushing on him...I mean, come on. He was hot.

We graduated soon and I still couldn't confess my feelings for him. 3 years had passed and I didn't see him again. I shifted to Dubai for work opportunities soon after.

One day, a mass shooting took place right outside the building I was working in. The Black Scorpions started firing outside the building.

Imagine my shock when the man who was leading the shooting was none other than Arjun. It was then I finally found out that he was a part of the mafia, and not just any post. He was the third in command. After the firing was over, he saw me, and came up to me. He said, and I quote- "You are mine, and I will get you soon." I was scared, no, scratch that, I was petrified. I packed my bag and was about to leave when his men barged into my apartment.

He sedated me and flew me to Waaji City. I woke up chained to his bed. He told me that he loves me and that I could never escape him. I tried to escape 9 times but failed. No matter where I went, he always caught me. He showered me with gifts and took me out for dates and movies. I don't know how but I was slowly falling for him. This turned into something more- love. And now here I am, with 2 children with Arjun."

By the end of her story, I lost all my braincells.

Not that I had any in the first place.

"So you fell in love with your kidnapper?" I asked.

She nodded.

"I agree, his way of approach was wrong, but he truly loved me," She replied.

I took a sip of my cappuccino, not saying anything.

If he truly did love her, he would have let her go.

Vienna sighed.

"Honey, the men in the mafia always get what they want, even if it's a person. The Russian Mafia King, Dimitri Yahontov, saw my daughter, Lydia. He tried to approach her in a friendly way but she rejected him. He then kidnapped her and took her to Moscow. She tried to run, but couldn't. She fell in love with him, somehow."

My eyes widened. Why do all mafia leaders kidnap their girls?

"I know you despise Siddhant, but trust me, he is a very caring person. I agree, he might be dangerous, but he can be soft only for you. Give him a chance, okay?" She asked.

I nodded.

No, obviously I wouldn't give him a chance.

"Oh, I just lost track of time. I need to go make dinner," She said, slapping her forehead.
