Ah

Ah. Life's an interesting thing, isn't it? Ups and downs happen, but whatever happens, happens for the best.

Love.

It's a powerful word. It's a connection no one can explain. Not you, not I. It happens. Just like that. We fall in love by chance and stay in love by choice... I stayed by choice. This is what I want love to be. With Siddhant in my embrace.

What is love about, you ask.

Love isn't about saying 'I love you' every single time and giving gifts. It's about what you do. Not what you say. I realized it late, but as they say, better late than never.

I looked in the mirror, quite content at my outfit. Black ripped jeans and a crop top hoodie. My phone rang which I answered with an excited giggle.

"Amu! Please, save me from Dimitri! I cannot tolerate any more shopping! My legs will give up on me any moment!" Lydia yelled through the phone with desperation in her voice.

I chuckled.

"Come on! Just one more shop," I heard Dimitri whine in the background.

"You've been telling that for the last 2 hours," Lydia snapped at him.

"Lydia, pass the phone to Di," I said.

"Yep, hold on," She said.

I could hear shuffling and then Dimitri's familiar voice say 'Hello!'

"Hey, Di. How's your vacation going?"

"It's so much fun! Who knew that Bali could be this interesting? I have to literally drag Lydia along with me. She doesn't like exploring places. Pfft, she's boring."

I chuckled but then I remembered something.

"Di, Sid's birthday is day after tomorrow. Did you buy a gift for him?" I whispered.

"Of course I did!" He answered, sounding offended, "I bought him a Lamborghini Aventador."

"Great, great. It's Siddhant's favorite car."

"Exactly why I bought it. What did you get for him?" Dimitri asked.

"I got him a customized platinum ring with our initials and Glenfiddich," I smiled.

"What? Glenfish?" He asked in confusion.

I sighed but couldn't help the grin forming on my lips.

"Glenfiddich," I repeated, "It's an expensive whiskey."

"Oh, uh, I knew that. I asked it to test your knowledge about it," He defended.

"Oh really?" I mocked.

"Ye-yes."

"Alright. Then tell me which country is Glenfiddich from."

"Uh, Tokyo," He answered quickly.
