I ran out of the estate like my life depended on it. It actually did.

While running, I collided with someone's chest and fell down on the hard ground.

I groaned and looked up to see Ashok. I squealed and hugged him tightly.

"I missed you so much!" I exclaimed.

"I missed you too, princess," He said, hugging me back.

Suddenly, someone pulled me back by my waist and slammed me on the ground.

He was a guy from Siddhant's mafia. He kicked me in the stomach making me cough. I linked my arms around his foot and dropped him to the ground. I punched him on the nose and he yelled in pain.

"Payback's a bitch," Saying that, I turned to face Ashok.

He was fighting off 3 men.

I grabbed one man's hair and kicked him on the groin. He groaned in agony and clutched it in affliction.

"Thanks," Ashok nodded.

I nodded back in acknowledgment.

"Okay, a BMW is outside. Here are the keys," He said, throwing the keys at me which I successfully caught.

I waved at him before dashing in the direction of the car. I spotted a black BMW near the bushes and unlocked it. I was about to get in when a voice made me halt.

"Going somewhere?"

Okay, fuck, fuck, fuck!

My heart raced as I turned to meet Siddhant's eyes. They had an undecipherable emotion under. He looked almost hurt.

"Sid-siddhant," I stuttered.

"Yes, Amrita?"

"Amrita, get in the fucking car!" I heard Dimitri yell from a distance as he saw I was staring at Siddhant.

I was about to sit in the car when he held my arm tightly. I sighed.

"This has to be done. I'm sorry," I whispered and kneed his stomach.

He fell on the ground in pain while I got in the car.

I drove to pass the mansion gates, passing through the meadows and lakes I visited.

It brought a sweet smile on my face. I shook my head.

I was too consumed in my thoughts that I didn't realize I reached the airport. I parked the car somewhere deserted and walked through the security.

"Ticket?" The guard asked.

I showed him the ticket details Dimitri mailed me. He nodded and let me through.

I sat in the waiting area and shut my eyes.

The flight to India would take off in an hour so I had plenty of time. I got up with a jolt. I needed to take care of something.

I ran out of the airport and hailed a cab, since I lost the keys of the cars.

"Where to?" The driver asked.

I told him the mansion's address.

"What!? I can't go there. It's a mafia estate," The guy said in shock.

I took out my gun and aimed it at him.

His eyes widened and he instantaneously started driving.

I looked out of the window and gazed at the sky.

The moon contrasted with the black sky.

It's like me lighting up Siddhant's dark life. I'm his moon. I don't need to light up his world, I need to just sit with him in the dark, but I left him alone in the darkness.

"We reached," The guy said, breaking my thoughts.

I thanked him and got out of the car. I ran into the mansion and saw that the fight was still on.

"Amrita! What in the world are you doing here?!" Dimitri yelled once he saw me, "I thought you left!"

"I did. But I have to do something," I replied.

"What?" He asked, but I didn't answer him.

I ran past him and tried spotting the person I was looking for. I immediately stopped in my tracks once I saw him.

"Siddhant!" I yelled.

He was currently choking some guy, but the moment he heard my voice, his eyes snapped to me. His face softened and he ran towards me, embracing me into a warm hug.

"You need to let me go," I whispered.

He shook his head. I sighed and cupped his face.

"You need to," I murmured, "because I'll come back."

His eyes snapped to me.

"You'll come back?" He repeated.

I nodded.

"I'll come back to you this time, I promise," I whispered, gently caressing his cheek.

I leaned in and kissed his sweet lips one last time before getting in the same cab.

I saw Siddhant's retreating figure from the rear window.

Okay.

Time to question my life decisions.

What the fuck did I just say?

I'll come back?

Why did I say that?

God, I regret saying that.

Did I?

No.

Would I come back?

I didn't know yet.

"Airport?" The driver asked.

I nodded and leaned back on the seat, thinking about my rash words.

We reached and I, once again, ran through the security and into the waiting area. I checked the time.

Oh, 5 minutes left.

"All passengers flying to India go to terminal 15 A," The announcer boomed through the speakers.

I went there and waited in the long queue.

Finally, my turn came. I walked into the flight and sat in my seat, which happened to be first class.

"We will be taking off," The pilot's voice echoed.

Slowly, the plane starting gaining speed and I was pressed down against the seat due to the force. The plane took of at an accelerating pace and then, we were in the sky.

I leaned comfortably against my seat and closed my eyes.

Did I make the right decision?

Did I love him?

I thought about this.

No, I didn't love him, that's for sure. I may be attracted to him, but only a bit.

Love is way far than that. Now that I was sure I wasn't in love with him, I breath a sigh of relief. Okay, now the main question was:

Was I going to come back?
