Chapter 18

ELIZABETH'S POV

I couldn't bring myself to enjoy this wondrous priceless scene unravelling before me any more than I already was. Something I wanted to witness my entire life! Finally! I got everyone under my clutches just like I wanted to and could play with them till I got what I wanted.

I decided to spice this up a little more since, like my last..what seemed to be twenty hours..was annoyingly used up by everyone just staring at each other.

"Heya folks! Will you hurry up with the tale already!!?? I have a known disease of having very little patience. Oh and by the way...Welcome Melissa Willows and Katherine Cross into your discussion everyone!!"

Alexis' POV

That treacherous petite lady shouted into the mic making her feel like she was the queen of the world. I could imagine her smirking behind those glass mirrors which were opaque. Thinking of just that made me feel like going back in a time machine and punching her in the face. I made a mental note to myself to make sure I did that as soon as I got outta here.

"Anyone wanna guess who these new guests to the group are?? Come on!! Theories are more than welcome!!" shrieked Elizabeth. I mean what was she so excited about anyway?

So Melissa. Mom. In front of me. This was just getting better and better by the minute. Who was planning on joining us next??

Just then something weird happened.

Like ultra weird I tell you....

Alexis..Aaron..I need you both to listen to me and not utter a word. I promise to explain everything to you as soon as I can. I really do promise but please do not speak a word. Elizabeth wants to know where Toby and Brian are. She does not know I can communicate with the three of you..including Katherine next to me..like this.

Okay...uh what???

I looked over to Aaron and realized that I was not dreaming. His facial expression definitely changed from being pale and still to a shocked expression. He was looking at me too. I nodded my head to signal to him that yes I heard it too.

Who exactly just managed to communicate with both of us through our minds? Was it my mom?? Is she like some sort of alien? Was I born to be alien or an abnormal being with supernatural powers?? I started thinking.

No, Alexis...you are not an alien honey!!....the small microchip installed in your body just got activated since you are within Melissa's range. It was programmed to get activated once you were closer to her. The same with you Aaron...When you were within a specified radius from me..your microchip gets activated too! So whatever thoughts come across your minds we can all hear it as if we are all having a real conversation within our heads. But this is only between the four of us. Do ourselves a favour and keep it a secret..please for now. This is the only way we can get ourselves out of here without Elizabeth knowing.

Whoa whoa...Back up people! So Katherine just spoke.Like what was going on? Now I couldn't even think without people who I have just met in a couple of seconds prying into them? I tried to keep a straight face as far as possible. I was well aware of the others staring back and forth from me to my mom..and from Aaron to his mom. I didn't want to have to explain myself so I kept quiet.

I really wanted to know what was going on in Aaron's head. Was he doing alright? We had no time to get emotional right now. I hope he wasn't going to make a scene...because he looked like he was going to burst any second now. This was obviously new to both of us...first..our mothers..like our real moms were sitting right in front of us....next..we were hearing these two lady's voices like we were retards. Either I was dreaming this whole thing or it was happening and I must be in a different world. I mean whoever heard of a chip in their body?Let alone being able to hear each other's thoughts?

One word..CREEPY. I felt like I was on a secret mission like from MIssion Impossible from one point of view...but then I also felt like I was in some horror story from another point of view.

Let me tell you that horror stories were not my thing and I find them to be irritating and extremely stupid. So I decided to think I was on a secret mission to make myself feel better.

Suddenly...Aaron spoke...or thought something...or 'tried communicating through his thoughts'...it was the most eerie thing ever!!

So can all of you like hear me? This is cool!! And uhm are you both supposed to be our mother's? Do you guys know how to get out of here so that we could clear a lot of things between us? Where are our father's? Why are we even locked up here anyway? Could someone kindly let me know please? I'm tired of being the odd one out here. The faster we get things done and are outta here...the faster I get my answers cleared and live a peaceful life. So is everyone willing to join?

Typical of Aaron...I almost laughed silently... He had to rant out a bunch of things at once. After listening to Katherine...I figured where he got that ranting ability from!

Yes Aaron dear...We can hear you. I really need you to register this fact and move on. We don't have time for answering all those questions..I'm sure both of you have more..but, I can tell you this! Yes we are your parents. Yes we will get out of here. Yes we will answer everything. But right now...we only have a matter of a few days before Brian and Toby are found and then we are all doomed. Elizabeth has a pretty wicked plan formulating from all we know. You guys have to hint the Moyer's that we have got to get out of here as soon as possible!! Said my mom.

Having to call her my mom was just an amazing feeling that was out of this world. I finally felt like I belonged to someone and had a proper family. It was the only upside positive piece of information I was happy with in the situation I was in!!

So Aaron...Do you have a plan? We have got to warn the Moyer's!!! I asked. Oh boy!! Now I was finally getting the secret mission feels. What a wonderful imagination I had as my teacher's in school used to tell me!This was only the beginning. What huge strange thing could possibly happen next????
