Chapter 15

Alexis' POV

Whoosh! A cold spurge of water fell on me. I woke up with a blur. Everything around me was a blur.
Where am I?
The last thing I remembered was sitting in the room that terrible witch locked me in. Then some guard came and sprayed something horrible that knocked me out.

"Alexis?!...is it you?" Said a familiar voice. I turned around to see that I was tied up to a chair with my hands behind my back. So I really couldn't turn much and my eyes were still adjusting to the light in the room. That's when I saw her...when I saw all of them.
I saw Anna Moyer who spoke to me and then Gary and then Steve and Amanda and finally Aaron who were all slowly stirring from their unconscious state. I could also see two women at the corner of the room who were turned away in a way that I couldn't see their faces. I was so glad to see a few familiar faces though!

"Anna? What are you doing here and where are we?" I asked still examining the room. I figured that it was the basement of some building or house. Then I slowly realized, as my vision was becoming clearer, that it was the basement of my so-called aunt Elizabeth's house. Speaking of which, where was she?
I didn't know what is going on or why she faked that she was my aunt. Though she didn't tell me I figured it out with the way she treated me, like a silent hawk waiting to catch its prey. So whatever this game was..we were all preys and I had to find out why.
Me and Aaron could not let the lives of others be affected because of us. At least that's what I figured.
It was up to us to get everyone out of this mess nevertheless.
So many questions were swarming in my head that this was getting more and more confusing by the second.
"Alexi..." I heard someone mutter my name and I didn't have to think twice to know who's voice it was with my numerous dreams.
I started looking around for Aaron and found him behind me so I couldn't exactly turn my head 180 degrees to talk.
"Yes Aaron..it's me. Don't worry we'll find a way to get out of here. That evil lady will pay for..."

"Think twice before you say anything more honey." A voice from the speakers above us crackled.

Oh great..now I can't even talk to anyone without Elizabeth listening. How will I get everyone out of here?

"What do you want Elizabeth?? Why are you babysitting us like this? Who are you? Is it money you want?"I shouted at the walls. I mean why else would she lock us up? It had to be the money..right?

"Aha!You silly child, when will you learn to think in the right way? Why would I want any money when I'm rich enough? No no. It's something much more valuable than money. Ask your companions out there. I'm sure they'll be happy to tell you. Now all of you shut up till I figure out what to do with you all now that you're in my clutches." She finished with an evil laugh.
