Elizabeth's POV

Booom! A sound came up from no where. I was happily sitting in my chair looking at my little guests cringe with fear and confusion. Maybe I'd get the best evil person award this year.

Where was that sound coming from anyway?

I decided to get up and check where that sound was coming from only to see that someone had broke into my little room which was on the other side of where I was holding those creeps captive.

It wasn't just someone, but my own little army of guards, with my main guard in front of me.

"What's going on? Why aren't you all secured around my house??" I barked at them.

"I'm sorry Elizabe...", was the last thing I heard as I was being blanketed into darkness.

Aaron's POV

Wow, this sure was taking some time. When were we gonna get outta here? My stomach was grumbling and I silently cursed myself for being hungry at a time like this.

While we were waiting for our signal, I asked Alexis,

Why do you think the guards actually helped us out? It doesn't make sense. I mean they were obviously payed a huge amount to keep their mouths shut and to do their job, right?

"You do realize you can talk now right? I think you are killing this 'communicating through our heads' thing." she smirked.

Well.

She was right.

"Maybe I was born to be a pro, sugar." I flaunted my flirty smile.

"Ha.Ha. Nice try. Well you are right about the guards though. I was actually wondering the same thing. Let's just get out of here first. We'll go through everything once we are perfectly safe and sound."

"Yeah, I think that sounds just as perfect to me as it does to you. I just am so confused and feel helpless and frustrated and.."

"..and hungry." Alexis finished for me before I could.

Crap. She must have heard my stomach grumble. Well, this is embarrassing.

"We're all humans Aaron, you're not the only one you know, let's just pray that there is food and water on board."

I realized that she made things easier for me. Things that I would usually try to hide, she would understand and read through me like I was transparent. I think I was falling for Alexis. She wasn't like the other girls I usually flirted with. The first day when I met her and she walked off on me, I knew there was something magical about her. I just knew it, and here I was now, with her, spending every second in this wild adventure.

"Earth to Aaron! Like hello..?" Alexis was waving her hands in front of my face breaking me from my innermost thoughts.

I blinked and turned around. Everyone was staring at me and Vicki was smirking at me. She may be young, but I was gonna strangle my sister, I just knew she was going to give me away.

"Oh, thank god. You just froze there for a few minutes. Are you okay Aaron?" Alexis asked.

"He's more than okay, aren't you big brother?"
Ah, see? I told you she was going to give me away.

"No. I'm alright!" I snapped at everyone and turned away from them.

"I wonder what's taking them so long. You reckon they all are okay up there?" I asked Alexis.
She started laughing. Who laughs in the middle of an escape mission? Yep, she was certainly going to be the death of me.

"What? What did you find so funny?" I glared at her.

"You didn't hear the whistle? It was our queue to go to them. What were you daydreaming about Aaron? Food?" She said laughing.
If only she knew I was kinda daydreaming about her.
"Excuse me, but I'm not the only one starving okay?"
" God, Aaron! Is this how I brought you up? How can you think of food when we are all scared and stressed out?" Amanda shouted at me.

"Mom! Stop shouting at me. Alright, what is it going to be? Are we all gonna march up to that huge boat or are we gonna sit in this creepy place forever?" I yelled and walked forward.

That must have shut them up, because slowly they started to follow me from behind.
Curiosity wasn't even what was going through us at the moment, we were all definitely going through something bigger than that.

I slowly neared the ship, and I heard Steve from one of the speakers attached outside the ship,
"All aboard! Superfin is ready to take off. I'm your captain Steve!"
I rolled my eyes like a girl and I saw Vicki do that too.
Yeah, that's the person who I grew up with, I thought.
