The Dream

Chapter 24

Alexis' POV

As we all ascended into Superfin, I could't help but stare at how huge it was. I would always dream of going on a vacation on a cruise and here I was, living my dream in the most unexpected circumstances.

"Wow, this place is awesome!" Vicki shrieked. Looks like I wasn't the only one feeling excited.. but, this was a mission, and I didn't have time to be enjoying myself. I wanted answers first.

Eighteen years, and I was living in a world where I thought my parents were dead. Alexis get your answers first! I silently thought in my head, forgetting that Aaron, Melissa and Katherine could hear me.

Don't worry Alexis, we will talk to both of you once we set sail. Melissa told me.

We were entering the lobby which was guarded by two huge men and I almost ran into them if I wasn't stopped by Anna. Anna sure seemed to be acting a little nicer towards to me since the escape.

Uh Melissa?Katherine? I think you guys forgot about the bulldozers standing in front of the lobby entrance. Are you sure it is safe to board the ship? Aaron's voice filled my head.

We heard some people laughing through the speakers and that immediately reminded me of Elizabeth's evil laugh crackling in the speakers back in that horrible dungeon she tied us up in. Just that, this laughter wasn't as unpleasant.

Speaking of Elizabeth, I wonder where the evil queen herself was.

Anyway, Katherine's voice came in the speakers and told us
"Guys, meet Bob and Max. Our security on board while we are sailing. They've been on this cruise since it existed.  Bob, Max be nice to them, they are our guests on board let them through."

Security? Well that brought red ringing bells back in my head. Why in the world would we need them? What if they betrayed us too? I was kinda having a hard time trusting anyone anymore after Elizabeth.

Oh don't worry children, we've got it under control. Come on up. Bring everyone.  Melissa communicated with us.
Well, if she said so.
So we slowly took ourselves up the stairs from the lobby and let me tell you it was luxurious.
There were so many rooms and I could see that there were people who were actually working like chefs and waiters and so on. In fact, it looked like there were some tourists on board too.
Alright, so I don't want to brag but it was pretty cool. However, we weren't the only ones on the ship and it was ringing even bigger bells in my head.

We met up with Gary, Melissa and Katherine in the third floor dining area. Food was spread out and that's when my hunger came back to me.
I suddenly remembered how hungry Aaron was and I looked over to where he was and couldn't help but smile. Atleast he didn't have to worry about food anymore.

This did look like it was planned though, I didn't want to say anything yet. I would let everyone tell their side of the story for me to analyze everything out with Aaron.

"What is everyone looking at? Come on sit down! Let's feast! I'm sure everyone is hungry. We'll talk through lunch. " Katherine encouraged us.

"I guess we are safe now and I would love to have a full stomach before hearing a whole story from them Alexis. Come on sit down." Someone told me. I realized everyone was seated and I was still standing frozen in the same place.

I looked around to see who told me that. Aaron was waving his hand asking me to come sit next to him. This table sure was massive. How often did they have huge families on board? Maybe quite often, it was a cruise after all.

I silently nodded and sat next to Aaron. Everyone said a little prayer and started feasting. The food felt like heaven, after who knew how long? I was savoring the taste in my mouth and not minding everyone who was around me. I could only guess that everyone else was doing the same thing as me.

After a nice hour of lunch, Katherine finally spoke up,
"Well, let's move over to the swimming pool area. We can relax and finally answer all of your questions."

Finally! Let the story begin!

I know, I know! The whole story is going to be covered in the next 2-3 chapters. Who's excited to hear that? I will probably be ending this book after the story is out and hopefully Aaron's and Alexis' dads show up. *spoiler alert*
