As soon as they were in the great hall the sorting ceremony started.

"Uhhhhhhh when will this end I already feel myself decomposing."

"Marls you are so dramatic. " Max said from beside her.

"I only hear facts Max" Caspian agreed.

"Ya I'm only spitting facts "

"Look Minnie looks like she is ready to Avada herself with me"

"Marls you have the patience of a two year old" Max stated .

"Shut up the both of you"

Marleyclapped for the first years that were sorted into Gryffindor and when the sorting was finished finally Dumbledore let the students eat.

"I'm stuffed."

"Same I feel like I'm about to burst." Caspian groaned with his hands patting his stomach.

"And Max has the audacity to call me dramatic."

"Well you kind of are Marls."

"Shut the fuck up Cas."

"No."

Marley rolled her eyes at the boy and left the great hall and headed to her dorm to unpack.

"Fucking hell I got no sleep last night because Percy and Oliver were fighting."

"Sucks for you."

Caspian stuck up his middle finger at Marley when he thought Max wasn't looking

"Cas be nice."

"Do you have eyes at the back of your head or something."

"No your just really predictable."

"Guys Minnie is coming with our timetables."

"MINNIE." the group cheered as they were met with their favourite professor .

"Potter, Smith and Jones I have your timetables right here."

"Thanks Minnie." the group said as they were given them. The trio all wanted to become aurors after they finished school. They looked at each other's timetables and started beaming.

"We have all the same classes."

"Ya except when you lot have Herbology I have Divination." Caspian stated.

"That's your own fault I don't get how you can stick Trelawney."

"Marls you don't like her because she told you that you don't possess the gift."

"She is full of shit Cas."

"I know Marls that's why I bullshit my way through the exams." Caspian said winking at the girl as Oliver wood started making his way over to the trio.

"Smith, Potter we have practice next
Monday spread the word to the others."

"Aye aye cap." the two said in union.

"We won't let you down."Marley said before the boy left three friends.

"He sure does have a nice ass doesn't he Max." Marley asked her friend .

"Does our little Potter have a crush." Fred Weasley said coming up behind the girl.

"No I was just saying how our beloved quidditch captain had a nice behind and I actually like someone else."

"And who might that be." George Weasley said taking a seat next to the girl.

"Yes Marls who is this crush." Max asked knowing well that Marlene has been crushing on George Weasley since he stayed with her at the hospital wing last year when she broke her hand playing quidditch .

"Oh look at the time we have DADA in ten minutes don't want to be late for our first class." dragging Max and Caspian with her they made there way to their first class of the year.

"How long do you think till this professor ends up leaving."

"I say before Easter ."

"Nah I think he will make it to the end of the year Cas."

"Well I was hoping I would be here permanently ." Professor Lupin piped up behind.

"Fuck." she said under her breath slowly turning around to be faced with her professor.

"Fuck indeed."

The man just chuckled and headed to his desk and began the lesson .

"I'm Professor Lupin." he said looking around the class .

"We are going to be looking at boggarts for this class." he told the 7th year group.

"But sir we did them in third year." Marley said to the teacher.

"I'm quite aware of that but I thought we would do something fun for our first lesson."

"Well since Lockhart and Quirell we are behind so I don't think it would be wise to practice boggarts when we have already completed them."

"Are you questioning my teaching ."

"Well I just think we as 7th year students know how to defeat a boggart." Marley said rolling her eyes at the professor lack of trust to the students capabilities of using magic.

Marley was never afraid to speak back to a professor when she believed what she was saying was necessary but when she saw the mans smile drop she knew that she fucked up.

"And what makes you think that you can question my teaching"

"Well I..." her face started to heat up. The whole class knew that the girl was after becoming the professors least favourite student it wasn't anything new to the girl as Snape already hated her with a passion even though she was top of the class in potions.

"Now I would like to get back to my lesson. Form a line and I'm sure ye all know the spell as Ms Potter here has informed me you all have done boggarts in your third year." Max and Caspian shared a look knowing Marley should of kept her mouth shut.

Marley went to the back of the line as she didn't wan to face her boggart again after she witnessed what it was in her 3rd year.

When it got to Marley the boggarts started to form into Harry and a man she didn't recognise but his presence felt familiar. He had snake like features and he had no nose. As soon as it registered who the other figure was it killed Harry and the girl froze. The figure started to speak to the girl.
"You couldn't protect him you pathetic little girl and look what has happened I ...killed....Harry....Potter." Tears started to form in her eyes.

"Riddikulus." she shouted before the figure could say anything else . The boggart turned into her parents hugging Harry and herself. She blinked away her tears and went to the back of the line and put on a poker face so everyone would move on from her boggart.
