Afraid To Die Alone (Remus Lupin)

Marley went looking for Harry as soon as they got to the great hall to see if he was ok after the whole Sirius Black thing but couldn't seem to find the raven haired boy anywhere amongst the people getting their sleeping bags.

Marley went and grabbed a sleeping bag and walked over to Caspian and Max who were setting up on the floor.

"You know I don't understand how we are meant to get any sleep while we are sleeping on the hard and cold floor."  Caspian said to the two who were already lying down in their sleeping bags attempting to go to sleep.

"At least I will have a excuse tomorrow for falling asleep in class" Marley whispered.

"You have an excuse for everything Marley."

"Max you know you've been sneaking off lately where have you been going off to is there a secret boyfriends or girlfriends that we don't know about."

Marley could see the smirk on Caspian's face while he was saying this.

Max didn't answer Marley assumed she was pretending to be asleep feeling uncomfortable with what Caspian was asking.

"I really need to piss." Marley said changing the subject.

"Marley no one cares that you need to piss right now I was trying to ask our friend if she is seeing someone that we don't know about ?"

"She's asleep anyways, just ask her tomorrow when she is actually listening." 

Marley got out of the sleeping back and walked up to Percy telling him she need to go to the bathroom.Percy told one of the prefects to watch over everyone while he brought Marley to the bathroom.

As they were walking down the hallway the bumped into professor Lupin .

"I can take her from here Mr Weasley you should go back to the great hall and keep watch over everyone." Remus told Percy not really giving the head boy a choice.

"I heard you were the first one to see the fat lady was missing." Remus said trying to fill the awkward silence that lingered between them .

"Yeah." Marley said not really knowing what else to say .

"Did you see anything or did you just get there."

"I didn't see anything."

Remus heard her heart rate quicken as she told him. If he didn't have heightened hearing he wouldn't of known she was lying with how her tone didn't change and her body didn't react in anyway.

"Are you sure Marley."

Him calling her Marley made her face heat up. She was grateful that it was dark and the only thing lighting up the hall was his wand.

"Are you suggesting I'm lying professor." Marley said as they both stopped outside the door of the girls bathrooms.

"No." Remus said with no hint of emotion on his face.

They stayed staring at each other for another couple of seconds before Marley walked into the bathroom and into one of the stalls letting out a breath of relief for keeping her cool.

After she finished using the bathroom she walked back out and seen Remus leaning up against the wall.

He looks hot

No no no stop he's your professor Marley and your with George well kinda with George uhhhh why are relationships so confusing.

"Are you ready." Remus said noticing Marley now.

"Oh no I'm just standing here waiting for the fun of it."  Marley said to him as she started to walk away.

Remus shook his head at her and  slightly jogged to catch up to her.

"You do know your not supposed to talk to your teacher like that ."

"You think that's bad you should hear how I talk to Snape."

Remus stifled a laugh at her comment  and failed to hide his smile.

"How's Harry after all this?" Remus asked wondering how the young potter boy was feeling after the whole Sirius black thing.

"I'm not sure I couldn't find him when we got to the great hall." Marley said with a bit of a frown worried about how he is feeling.

"I'm sure he is fine he is a Potter after all."  Remus said trying to calm Marley.

"I worry about him, there always seems to be danger following him wherever he goes. I mean he's just a kid and he has all this shit that he never signed up for."

Marley looked to her left to see Remus looking at her already with worry evident all over his face.

"Sorry I don't why I said anything I never really talk about this to anyone."  Marley looked away blinking away the tears that threatened to spill.

Remus stopped walking causing Marley to stop too. He took one look at Marley and instantly wrapped his arms around her. Marley instantly wrapped her arms around him feeling comfort in his touch. She knew it was wrong for her to find comfort in his touch but she never was one for rules.

"Thanks." Marley said after she let go of him.

"For what?"

"For listening"

They didn't talk about the hug as they walked back to the great hall and Marley went straight to sleep as her head hit her pillow. It was the first time in a while where she had that good of a sleep.

I haven't updated in a while but I was in the toilet and I got this random burst of motivation and I updated it. :)
If there is any spelling mistakes sorry buts it's 2 in the morning and I can't be bothered to edit so I will edit it tomorrow.
