"And then he was like do you wanna make that till Easter , I hate him so much I don't see how ye like him."

"He is the best DADA teacher we ever had and he is really chill." Caspian told a raging Marley.

"CHILL, ARE YOU ON CRACK."

"Is there a problem over here." Professor Sprout asked the trio.

"Yes professor."Caspian told her .

"Calm down Marley it's only detention." hissed Max getting angry at Marley for nearly getting them into trouble.

"Ya and I have it till Christmas it's fucking October." Marley said grabbing her books as the class was finished up.

"Bloody hell she must be on her period."

"Shut it Caspian."

Marley was on her way to her first detention with Lupin after dinner. She was not in a good mood and stressing over her brothers safety because of Sirius Black wasn't helping at all. Marley was never one to talk out her problems and kept everything bottled up inside as she didn't want to look weak to her little brother as he has already been through so much since he has gotten to Hogwarts.

She reached the door to the DADA classroom and knocked on it.

"Come in." a muffled voice came from inside.

She gripped the handle of the door and let herself in to the cosy classroom filled with books on the shelf's and a smell of tea and fresh parchment .

"I'm here for my detention." Marley said to her least favourite teacher after Snape of course.

Lupin looked up from his desk to see Marley making her way to his desk. He could tell by the look in her forest green eyes that she was going through something and he had the sudden urge to get to really know the girl. At the time he didn't know why but he would soon figure out his hearts desire.

"Yes that's right , you will be helping me with organising the shelf's and when that's finished you can do your homework until 7:00pm."

Marley only nodded her head and dropped her bag on the floor beside her. She made her way over to the book shelf's and started to organise them. She couldn't help but be intrigued by the mans scars as some looked fresh while others looked like they have been there for years.

"Sir what happened your face?"

"None of your business."

"None of your business." Marley said mocking what her professor said to her.

Lupin couldn't help but laugh at her  and turned to look at the girl. Marley didn't know why but she got a weird feeling in her stomach hearing his laugh. She began to laugh along with the professor not expecting her detention to go this way.

They finished organising the shelf's and Marley went back to her seat and took out a book.

"What's that your reading Ms Potter"

"Oh it's To kill a mocking bird it's one of my favourites."

"I've read that many times what do you think of it."

"Well if I'm being honest I'm only reading it for Atticus Finch."

"And why's that."

Marley started to blush not really thinking through what she said to the man the truth was she liked his character cause she thought he was hot when she watched the film with Harry one summers day when the Dursley's were gone to visit Vernon's sister.

"Because his character is very complex?" Marley waffled feeling as if she was talking to an English teacher.

Remus only laughed at the girl. Marley yet again got this feeling in her stomach not knowing why this man had such an impact like that on her from his laugh.

"Do you like to read?" Lupin asked the girl.

"It depends really I love Peter Pan it's my all time favourite book. I have this memory from when I was younger of my father reading it to me but I'm not really sure if it's a memory or if I just made it up."

He noticed the spark in her eye leaving when she started talking about her past knowing what she went through took an impact on her. He admired how strong the girl really was as she could tell she would do anything for those she cares about.

"What about you sir?"

"I love to read I find it can help me relax and take me away from all the hard things in life."

"I rather movies books take too long for me to finish."

"Why am I not suprised."

"What's that's supposed to mean."

"Nothing you just remind me a lot of your father he was the same when he was your age but I doubt he even touched a book never mind read one."

"Did you know him?"

"Yes very well he was one of my best friends actually."

She can hear the pain in his voice he must of been really close with him she thought.

"Well I best leave you off it's gone past 7pm."

Marley looked up at the clock and seen it was 8pm surprised how fast the time went with him. She was happy that they were being civil towards each other and how he actually made her day better even though he was the reason she was in a bad mood in the first place. She couldn't help but feel excited about her detention tomorrow.

"Goodnight sir"

"Goodnight Marley"

She couldn't help but realise how nicely her name sounded coming from him causing her to get another weird feeling in her stomach. She made her way out the door to be left with her own thoughts.
