Marley walked into the common room after going for a walk around the castle for a couple of hours to find Harry sitting on his own staring at the fire lost in thought.
"Harry?"
Harry looked up at his sister tears in his eyes. Marley quickly ran over and wrapped her arms around him holding him afraid to let go as he started to sob into her shoulder . She felt tears starting to form in her own eyes but would never let them fall unless she was sure no one one could see or hear her. She had to be strong for her little brother he's the only family she has left and the same goes for him. They would lose themselves if one were to lose the other.
"What's wrong Hazza?"
"It's all too much Marley it's too much for me. I'm scared Marls I'm really scared."
"It's ok I'm here I'm always going to be here." she said gripping on tighter to him scared to lose him cause the one thing Marley Potter was afraid of was losing her brother and leaving her alone in this shit hole of a world.
"I know it's just what would I do if I were to ever lose you Marley your the only person who fully understands me the only person I could trust with anything." he said starting to look up to his older sister tears streaming down his face
It hurt Marley to see her brother like this. She hates what he has to go through and she knows the worst is still to come and she will be with him every step of the way.
"Harry no matter what I'm always going to be there for you and Mum and Dad are looking over both of us right now." she said smiling at her brother trying her best to comfort him.
"What do you think life would be like if they were still alive."
"It would be eventful that's for sure. I always imagined mum and dad moving us to a cottage in the country side where Mum would watch us through the kitchen window with Dad playing quidditch in the backyard and Mum would shout out the window scolding Dad for cursing when we would score against him."
Harry starts to smile at Marley as he would think the same thing.
"I miss them Marley I miss them so much."
"Me too Harry me too."
"Everything would of been easier."
"How do you do it how do you handle everything."
Marley just hugged him closer to her as she knew if she was to say anything else she would burst into tears because she wasn't handling everything she was broken inside and she was waiting for the day where she would finally break but she needed to be strong for him she had too she is his older sister she mightn't of had anyone there for her when she was his age but that doesn't mean that he couldn't have someone there for him.
"You better get to bed Har or you will be exhausted tomorrow."
"Can you read to me for a bit before I fall asleep."
She nodded her head and summoned the book from her room.
"Accio Peter Pan."
"Will I start where we left off."
"Yes." Harry said starting to lay his head against the arm rest of the couch his feet on her lap.

"To die would be an awfully big adven-"
She looked down to see Harry fast asleep. She carried him up to his room she might of bumped his head a couple of times on the way up but he didn't need to know about that.
As she made her way up to the girls dorms she left the tears fall this time knowing no one was going to see her as it was late at night. She went into the bathroom looking at herself in the mirror. The mascara was running down her face. She casted the silencing charm so no one could here the sobs escaping her lips.
Stay strong Marley
You need to stay strong for Harry
He needs you a lot more than you do

Marley spent her night crying in the bathroom it wasn't until 4 am when she went into bed she layed there until it was time for breakfast. She got no sleep but this wasn't a new thing she had had many sleepless nights like these waiting for her dorm mates to go to sleep so she could go into the bathroom and breakdown.
"Marley get up."
"I'm up."
"Me and Caspian are going down to get breakfast are you coming or are you going to stay in bed."
"I'll come today."
"Great at least we won't be getting any house points taken off us this morning for you being late to class."
Marley didn't answer her she was still stuck in thought wondering how was she going to protect Harry from all the crap he was going through.He is a 13 year old boy and has went through more life threatening things in the past three years than a person does in a lifetime.
Getting up out of bed she started to get ready for the day ahead.

"Morning." the group said to Marley as she sat down at their house table
"Morning."
She sat there in silence tired after getting no sleep last night it was a very rare sight to see Marley Potter quiet and you knew something was wrong when she was but no one would even dare to ask her as they knew it would only make it worse. But there is one person that didn't know this and he was staring at the girl from across the great hall worrying as he had never seen her like this professor Lupin has never seen someone look so broken.
"Come on we need to get to DADA"
"I'll meet ye guys there I just wanna talk to Harry."
She made her way over to the golden trio and told Harry she wanted to talk to him.
"You ok after last night."
"I'm doing better."
"Good, I'm always here Harry you know that right and if your in any danger come find me first ok always come find me first. Ok?"
"Ok."
She brought him in for a quick hug not wanting to embarrass him telling him she will see him later and she headed off to DADA.
