 "I dont understand!," I exclaimed as we rolled down the highway, away from the only home I ever knew. "Jax broke my bond with Julianne, Im considered a rogue from their pack, now part of the Solar," James explained. "No, I get that, he's been doing that for years, what I dont understand is why we are running away from her! We were trained to fight her!" I said. I shifted in the back seat. The leather was sticking to my skin. 

Lucas turned in the front seat and looked at me. "Trust me Eden, our parents and Uncle Jax can hold their own, they can avoid Julianne, besides your moms the cure and your the posion so to say, she'll pick priority first, your mom cant kill her and you can.' he told me 

"Exactly my point! If I can kill her than why arent we waiting for her!?" I asked. James sighed. "Because thats the last resort. We need to keep you safe until your needed, until then just sit back and shut up," he said. I shut my mouth, not that I had anything else to say anyways. Lucas looked back at me and rolled his eyes.

I must have dozed off because when I came too I was suprised to hear Lucas and James actually...bonding? "Where are we headed exactly?" Lucas asked. 'Tennessee," James replied, "There's some rogues that broke from the Luna Pack a few years back that Im still really good friends with, they live up in the Smokies, its isolated and away from people so we should be good to stay there until we come up with a game plan," he said. "And whats that game plan?" Lucas questioned. "Havent come up with one yet," James admitted. "Not even an outline?" Lucas implored. "Well generally the outline is to keep Eden safe obviously," James said laughing, "But other than that...no I havent thought that far, but knowing Julianne we wont have that long to come up with one, she may not be able to read my mind but she's damn good at tracking, we just have to make sure that Eden is ready and then we just go from there"

I chose this time to fake waking up and I yawned loudly and stretched my arms up. I winced. How long was I asleep? I felt all cramped up. "Need a rest stop?" James asked as he looked at me in the rear view. "How long til the next one?" I asked. "Well  we're kinda trekking the back roads right now, so whenever you feel like having me pull over..." James trailed off. "There's a gas station up here, we're on the outskirts of some small town,' he said. I looked around, I didnt see a gas station. But sure enough about a mile and half a head of us and two right turns away was a small gas station. James parked and Lucas and I got out of the car. I stretched for real this time feeling the bones in my back popping. i groaned. 

Lucas' head snapped to look at me as I groaned and then he quickly looked away. "Lets go find a bathroom," he said. He waited for me to walk in front of him and I did. I opened the glass door to the gas station and looked around. it was a small, dingy looking place. I stopped, something didnt feel right. Lucas stopped behind me and he looked around. James walked in and he stopped too. The three of us were standing in the door way and their were two guys and three girls roughly our age standing by the freezers. They looked at us. 

"Well, welll, weellll, look what the big bad wolf dragged in," one of the guys said in a deep southern drawl. I cringed as he walked forward. I could feel my body starting to burn. Lucas was doing good at controlling his anger this time. Lucas grabbed my hand and slowly pulled me so I was between both him and James. an Eden sandwich. wonderful. 

"Alen," James said in acknowledgement. "James,' that Alen guy sneered. "Looks like you moved on quite well," James said. Alen frowned. "I can hear you lacing it,' Alen said, "it wont work here, Im no longer under your control and your on my turf," he said smiling a gummy smile. Seriously, he had no teeth. Did he not know what a dentist was? "You're only here on "your turf" so to say because of me, If I didnt outcast you your hillbilly ass would still be Omega and bowing down to everyones needs in the pack," James snapped. "You best leave you fucking piece of shit!," Alen yelled. he took a step forward. Lucas grip on my hand tightened and the burn intensified. I pried my hand from his and stepped forward to meet Alen in the middle. "Do you kiss your Mama with that mouth, son?" I asked. "Who the hell do you think you are?" he asked. Focus, Eden. I told myself. I took a deep breath. I was channeling someones energy right now and they were pissed. Frankly that could have been anyone in the room but whoever it was was getting major kudo's from me. 

I brought my hand up and I bounced an energy ball in my hand. "Now, I just came in here to GOTDAMN pee, So unless you want me to light a fire under your ass to make you run for the hills I suggest you back the FUCK up," I snapped. Alen took a step back. "You hanging with witches now?" he asked James. James smiled. 'No Im hanging with someone that could either be the death of you or someone who saves your hillbilly ass.' he said. I tossed the energy ball towards Alen for the hell of it and then walked past him and his groupies to the restroom. I was going to pee damnit.

After I dried my hands on my pants because no one had bothered to replace the paper towel dispenser, I opened the door and walked out. Everyone was still in the same position as when I went in the restroom. I walked to the freezers and pulled out 3 mountain dews and grabbed some chips from the aisle shelves, and i walked to the door. James and Lucas followed. "HEY!" Alen yelled. "You gotta pay for that!" I laughed and turned to face him. He was standing in the middle of the doorway. "I will. Itll be in the payment of me making sure that you still have a future," I turned away from him and got into the car. James and Lucas followed suit and soon we were back on the road. 

It was getting dark when we made it into Tennesee. James bit back a yawn and he turned on the radio, jolting Lucas out of a dead sleep and me into a migraine. My head was pounding and my body was humming. Oh no not again! I took a deep breath,  I was not going to fall victim to another waking wet dream. I went  to speak but Warrant filled my ear drums and I fell into the black abyss.

He was taking off my shirt and I was unbuttoning his. His lips moved from mine once to pull my shirt over my head and to unhook my bra and then they were back on mine. I groaned. His tongue slid between my lips and we fought for dominance. He won. He pushed me down onto...what was that? A bed...it was a bed. A bed with silver satin sheets...oh god I loved silver sating sheets and HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. He slid my pants down and I didnt even notice his were gone until he was inside me. I let out a shaky breath as he pulled me up so I was straddling him. He started to move and I started to tense up. Whoa this was way quicker than what i was used to. This was way different than last time. I looked up as I tensed again. I was right there already. and then I found out why. Because it was Lucas sending me to heaven and back...not James.

I came to and was fighting to catch my breath. James had pulled the car over and was turned in his seat to face me, concern written across his face. Lucas was sweating and he was white knuckling the armrest. 'You both passed out at the same time is everything okay?" James asked. Far from it, but I only nodded in response. What the hell was going on?
