31.
Byhalia and Ezekiel stood up and helped Kanchi stand as well. Julianne laid on the ground and just continued to sob quietly. I stepped out of Lucas' arms and stepped towards Byhalia. "I cant shift anymore and neither can my friends, I didnt know reviving you would envoke this kind of consequence." I said. Byhalia held her head up in defiance. "Every action has a consequence, Eden, I thought you of all people would have known that. Shifters were created to kill her and now that she is no longer a witch she is no longer a threat, and you all no longer need to be shifters. Its how the process works." she explained.
"Being Shifters is who they were," Lucas said, he looked disgruntled. "Exactly, and it was that way for a reason, it was their destiny and now that their destiny has been fufilled life, as cliche as it may sound, will move on. Take pride in the fact that you are now human there are much worse things that you could be," she looked down at her daughter as she said this.
"What are you going to do with her now?" I asked as I crossed my arm. The sun was coming up but it was still a little chilly. "We go back to the earth until we are needed again and she goes on living her life as human," Ezekiel told us. "So your leaving her defensless, on her own, she doesnt know how to be human! She'll die!" Lucas exclaimed. I looked at him. He was worried about someone we were born and raised to destroy. Odd.
"I trust that you two know right from wrong still," Byhalia questioned. They looked at Kanchi as I stood there in confusion. I was always confused, always a step behind. what the hell was going on? Kanchi murmured a chant and then just as easy as the came from the earth they were put back, then it dawned on me.
"We have to take care of her now!" I cried.

Without magical Julianne the van was crowded as all get out. Octavia, Connor, Immanuel, and Becca agreed to shift and meet us back at the cabin and then Amber, the boys, Lucas and I would drive back to Union, the next day. not being able to shift was going to make things difficult.
Julianne sat in the back of the van while Amber took wheel, since she was the only one who was taught to drive and then Lucas got in the passenger seat with me behind him in the back and the boys beside me in whatever space was left over. It was going to be a long as ride back to the other side of Tennesee.

About 4 hours into our trip we stopped at a rest stop so Amber could stretch her legs. Lucky us that the wolves were keeping pace with us, as Immanuel, Connor, Octavia and Becca met us there. This reststop was a little crowded, but we all met up after a few moments.
Liucas stood by my side as Immanuel walked up to me and Connor followed. "Becca went with Tavia to pee," Connor told us. "Thanks for the TMI," I thanked him. "No problem, I aim to please," he said smiling. Leave it to Connor to be the person that would make you smile in a really shitty situation.
"So wheres Julianne?' Connor asked. 'Sulking in the car," Lucas replied. "She hasnt said a word since we left Chucalissa." "can you blame her? I mean I get she was going to kill us, or well you, or well actually i dont know who she was going to kill, but we all kinda betrayed her, and now she has to rely on us because she's human, her rents are like bitches man," Connor claimed.
I resisted the urge to laugh at him. For someone who had such a big task laid upon him he was so damn easy going. 'Shit happens," Lucas replied. "I guess Eden's mom and dads will know what to do, or at least Uncle Jax seeing as that is his mother," he commented. I nodded in agreement. Someone had to know what to do because I sure as hell didnt.
We all talked as we waited for Octavia and Becca to join us then we all waited in awkward silence for Amber and the boys to join us. As we waited a group of men walked past us and one stopped and looked at me, I mean a full blown stare. He was tall, much around Lucas' height, had dark brown hair and his eyes. One bright blue and one bright green. He was special. I could tell.
"Can I help you man?" Immanuel asked. The man shook himself out of his little reverie. "Sorry," he apologized. "I just..." he shook his head. 'she's very pretty which ever one of you men have her is a lucky man," he grunted and then he walked away.
Becca smiled, Octavia scowled, Connor started laughing leaving Immanuel and Lucas frowning. Which ever one has me, like it was seriously that easy. I watched the guy walk away and catch up with his friends. Who was he?

After a while we all met up and after a few more words were traded we got back in the van, Immanuel, Becca, Connor and Octavia shifted, saying they would meet us at the next stop. As everyone got into the van I froze...Lucas looked at me, his eyebrow raised in question. "I have to use the rest room," I said suddenly. "You've been here for 30 minutes, why didnt you go before?" Shaine asked. he was looking exhausted. "I'll be right back promise!" I said as I took off running to the bathrooms.
I opened the door to the lobby of the rest stop and looked around. Something was calling me here what was it? I swept the room once. Twice. and third time and then I saw him. He was leaning against the opposite wall his ankles crossed and his arms crossed as well. He motioned for me to come to him and without thinking I did.
"So you are human," the man murmured as I stopped in front of him. I didnt speak, because techinally I was, I guess. I was no longer a shifter. The man ran a finger down my cheek and I shivered. He placed his finger under my chin forcing my eyes to meet his discoloured ones. "Whats your name pretty girl?" he questioned. "Eden," I said, letting the words slip off my tongue.. "hmmmm..." he purred, "Paradise, what a fitting name," he smiled and I frowned.
"be careful Eden, the fun isnt over yet," he warned and then he walked away from me leaving me in the lobby alone and completley terrified.
I walked out back to the van in haze. What did he mean.I saw him again talking to his friends as I got into the car. His two colored eyes bore into mine and I looked away.
"Be careful Eden," Julianne said from the back seat. "For there are worse things than witches and werewolves in this world, looks like you got a taste of that," I looked up panicked and saw Lucas' face peering at me from the front seat. "What does she mean?" he barked. I gulped.
"Nothing," I replied. 'Its just her trying to keep the remnants of control, nothings wrong," he turned back around as Amber pulled out of the rest stop. I leaned back in my seat and sighed. I was never going to catch a break.
