"Wake up! Wake up!" Gabi jumped on the bed you and Hange shared. You groaned, curling towards Hange more. Your lover showed no signs of movement while your daughter kept jumping on top of you. "Sweetheart,, what time is it?" You sat up on your elbows, eyes still half closed. "It's time to get up!" Gabi jumped off the bed and started pulling your arm. "Common I want to get a head start before school!" You just hummed and followed your 6 year old.
She dragged your down the stairs and into the kitchen. "What do you want for breakfast Gabi?"
"Waffles!" You hummed again and started your coffee/tea/etc. and got the frozen waffles from the freezer. "Go wake up your brother." You ordered while you placed two waffles in the toaster. Gabi was off, tumbling into her brothers room and jumping on him like he did with your and you beloved. While getting your drink ready, you felt someone grab you from behind and rest their head on your shoulder.
"Good morning." You smiled and patted the head of your significant other. They inhaled your scent and groaned out a 'morning'. "Would you like some coffee or tea to start your morning?"
"Coffee please." Hange kissed your exposed shoulder from your tank top. You hummed and started their coffee and grabbing the waffles that popped up from the toaster. As Hange was on their way to the table to sit down, Gabi came flying down the stairs and back to her seat with a tired Armin shuffling behind her.
"Morning Armin." He groaned in response. "What would you like for breakfast?"
"Whatever Gabi's having is fine." You nodded and popped two more waffles in the toaster and served Gabi hers with syrup. "Thank youu!" Gabi sung while you ruffled her hair and kissed her temple. You turned to Armin and did the same. The coffee grinder turned off, signaling that the coffee was done. You poured however many glasses you needed and placed them on the table, scooting a orange juice towards Gabi.
After serving Armin his own waffles and talking amongst the family, everyone set off to get ready for the day. Hange got dressed for the lab, you got dressed for your job/to run errands/etc., Gabi dressed in a white shirt and a red overall skirt, and Armin got dressed in a baby blue sweater. The children were the first to leave. You handed them a mask and kissed them goodbye as they headed towards the bus. The Hange did their tie in the mirror by the front door and kissed you on the lips goodbye.
Your life may be simple and boring, but sometimes boring is perfect.
