Chapter Seven: The Moment We’ve Been Waiting For

            Jessica and I enter Sammy and Jace’s room about fifteen minutes later. No one told us that there would be a metal detector and full security check. Every time Jessica would walk through the detector, it would go off. Turns out it was her belly button ring that she had forgotten to take out.

            “Hey guys, you ready for tonight?” Jace asked us. He had on another V-neck, but this time it was dark red. He paired it with some skinny jeans and black Converse. The boy was looking good, if I do say so myself.

            “Hell yeah!” Jess yells. I start to grin as everything starts to sink in. I’m about to meet One Direction.

            “So who are you two the most excited to meet? I know most girls already have their weddings and such planned with one of the members.” Sammy says with a wink.

            At a loss for words, I look at Jess. Sure, I loved 1D and all, but I had never considered dating one of the members. At the very most, I just wanted to be good friends because they seemed like such cool guys. By the look on Jess’s face, I knew she felt the same.

            “Well, I don’t really know. I’ve never actually thought about dating one of them. They all seem like such funny guys. I’d just really like to be their friend.” I tell her honestly. Jess nods in agreement.

            By the look on Sammy’s face, I don’t think she believes us. “Sure, Audrey. I bet you have never thought of dating one of the boys”

            “I’m being honest! I swear it!” I laugh. I don’t really care if she believes me or not.

“Whatever,” Sam laughs, “Well, it looks like it’s time to load up! You girls ready?”

Nodding quickly, Jess and I follow Sam and Jace out the door and to a brand new red Dodge Charger. As soon as we get in, Jace turns on the radio. Ed Sheeran’s “The A Team” begins to play. Grinning like a mad man, I turn to Jess. She immediately understands my happiness and asks Jace to turn up the radio. Smiling, I turn to look out the window until we reach our destination.

Screaming. That is the first thing I register as I follow Jace and Sam back stage. Everywhere it seems, girls are yelling and holding up signs in hopes of getting noticed by the boys. In a way, I pity them. I know that if it wasn’t for these passes, I would probably be standing right there beside them.

I glance at Jessica. She looks nervous and I don’t blame her because I’m feeling the same way. She keeps playing with the special I.D. Sam gave us that is hanging around her neck. Eventually, we reach the end of a white hallway and come upon metal doors with two very large men in yellow security jackets guarding it.

“Hello, gentlemen. I’m Sammy and this is Jace. We are with 104.9 Hitz. The two girls behind us are the winners of the passes and hotel party.” Sam seems confident as she shows them her I.D.

Slowly the men move and open up the doors. Sam gives them a quick nod and ushers us in. I take in my surroundings and notice that there is a red couch with a few comfy looking chairs sitting around a large coffee table. The coffee table is covered in sweets, drinks, and tons of food. As soon as I turn around to ask where the boys are, I hear a loud bang. A string of curses in an Irish accent come shortly after and it’s followed by laughter.

“’Ello! You two lovely girls must be Audrey and Jessica.” Harry Styles says to us with a smile as he walks out from a door towards the back. “Don’t tell me who’s who! I’d like to take a guess.”
