The trio went down to breakfast, nervously waiting for their respective partners, suddenly Ginny turned to Harry in despair and said, What idpf I don't end up with you? Oh Harry I can't lose you she cried. Harry, though he was nervous too soothed her and said, don't worry Gin the sorting hat knows what its doing, it will know that we are meant to be.
Ron turned to Hermoine and said, you don't worry either 'Mione, I'm sure we will get paired together too. Hermoine nervously nodded back.
As they sat down Prof. McGonagall came up and yet again asked the 7th and 6th years to remain behind. Slowly she unrolled a list and began calling names. The first one was Abbot, Hannah who got paired with Neville Longbottom. The trio exchanged incredulous looks ,as it progressed Hermoine was called, she exchanged looks with Harry and went up to the hat. It was silent for a long long time and finally called out "Draco Malfoy" Hermoine was flabbergasted, she whispered "what" and as for Draco he could not even understand what the hat had said. He did not get up from his seat until Blaise Zabini nudged him. He got up and joined Hermoine, they did not say a word to each other and instead watched the sorting, When Ginny 's name was called Hermoine noticed she was trembling,she wanted to go up there,hug her and whisper that everything was going to be fine. But she needn't have worried. Because as soon has the Hat touched the redhead it immediately screamed "Harry Potter" !! Ginny gasped and ran to Harry and kissed him passionately, Pansy Parkinson's name was called a short time later. The result was surprisingly Ronald Weasley. She looked at him in disgust. Slowly the sorting was over and Hermoine was slowly realizing.. she had to marry Draco Malfoy she shuddered. Prof.McGonagall came up to them and asked them to follow her. She led them up the North tower and they saw a new dorm. She said that it was their new dorm room and that their rooms, and that their roommates would be there soon. Hermoine sat down,her hands on her head, when she heard the portrait door click, she looked up to see Luna Lovegood, Blaise Zabini, Harry and Ginny, Ron and Pansy enter. Draco walked over to Blaise and Pansy and they sat down in the nearest armchairs. The Gryfinddors scowled at them and they,with Luna went to explore.
