Zuko put his head down during class as he napped after he was done with his test, Katara kicked his seat a little but he flipped her off with a smile. She rolled her eyes shaking her head at him as she continued with her own test.
A girl next the Katara blinked confused at the boy that slept and raised a brow when he flipped off the girl next to her.
"Hey what's his deal?" The girl frowned whispering to Katara.
"He's always like that, don't bother," Katara shrugged it off knowing zukos been up late taking care of the shop and his uncle.
Eventually each student handed in the test and chatted quietly for class to end, Zuko continued to sleep as Katara went on her phone seeing her dad was texting her.
"Why is a blond staring at me?" Zuko mumbled with one eye open with a small glare.
"Uh new girl when you were gone last week, Olivia or something," Katara didn't bother looking up.
"Why is she staring?" He sighed rolling his head to the other side to hopefully go back to sleep.
"Cause You finished in ten minutes and have been snoring," Katara smiled a little.
"I don't snore,"
"You absolutely do I have proof," Kataras grin widen as he grunted in return.
Soon the bell rung and Katara got up from her desk and Zuko handed her the note book back that he borrowed to study.
"Oh I have to help Aang study for science, I'll see you later," Katara smiled sweetly at her boyfriend and patted the top of his head when he didn't bother moving.
"Kay," he patted her hand back and she walked away blushing with a soft smile. He wasn't a morning person but his little physical touches always were weird but made her laugh.
Zuko sighed lifting his head from the desk but frowned seeing the dark blond looking at him with big blue eyes.
"You do have a scar!" She gasped in awe.
"What the fuck?" Zuko blinked tiredly.
"Ha, sorry I couldn't tell before and it's just been bothering me, not knowing, not the actual scar," Olivia giggled nervously and Zuko squinted a little.
"Did Jet send You?" He asked flatly.
"Whos jet?" She asked. Zuko looked at Jet who heard his own name, then looked at Olivia confused who she was.
"Well I have a scar, congrats you were right," Zuko sighed annoyed standing up and checked his phone to see if his uncle was doing alright. It was the first day he was going to try staying in school all day, he hasn't been comfortable leaving iroh home alone till he could walk easier around the apartment.
"I'm liv by the way," she stepped in front of Zuko.
"Uh okay?" He raised a brow.
"I.. um I'm Zuko?" He said slowly seeing she wanted a name in return.
"So you were born in Asia?" She asked amazed.
"No I was born in America," he nodded softly.
"I mean it sounds Asian, and you look Uh.." Olivia trailed off turning red.
"Go on, I wanna hear it," Zuko crossed his arms unamused.
"Are.. you?"
"Yes," he nodded not knowing why he has to explain himself.
"Zuko!" Sokka wrapped an arm around his buddy as the paler teen yelled in surprise as Olivia looked shocked at the sudden interruption.
"Hey buddy do you have a five I can barrow?" Sokka pulled him away to the vending machine as he was dying for a red bull.
"Save me, blond is being weird about me being Japanese," Zuko gripped sokkas arm tightly.
"Your japanese?" Sokka asked confused.
"No im Irish," Zuko huffed.
"Really? It explained you being pale," Sokka believed him but got an elbow to the stomach instead.
"Dumbass I am fucking Japanese, you've seen my uncle!" Zuko snapped and shoved a five in his hands as Sokka smiled at the money.
"Oh my god I need to find intelligence somewhere in this building," he walked away quickly before Olivia talked to him again.
—
"You're Japanese? I thought you just went to Japan," Toph ate chips as Zuko sat with her in the library.
"Yes I'm fucking Japanese," Zuko hissed at her.
"Oh yes because I can tell what race is, my bad," Toph smiled smugly as Zuko wasn't pleased.
"This isn't the time," he inhaled deeply.
"I can't tell time," she smiled more.
"Anyways," Zuko gripped his hair with wide eyes full of murder.
"So like do you look a lot different than me?" Toph asked smiling smugly knowing it was driving him crazy.
"Know what it doesn't even matter, I'm going to go bald if I keep this conversation up," he sighed in defeat.
"Hi Zuko!" Olivia waved sweetly to him.
"Oh my god who is that?" Toph snorted.
"I'm Olivia," she sat with the two.
"I thought it was liv?" Zuko said flatly.
"Uh no, Olivia," she giggled and Zuko shrugged it off.
"You're new right?" Zuko asked boredly and she nodded.
"I just moved from Washington with my parents," Olivia told him kindly.
"Cool, welcome," Zuko shrugged a little going on his phone and pursed his lips.
"Hey Toph I'm going to run home real quick to check on uncle, I'll be back before lunch ends later," he sighed getting up but Toph reached straight out to grab him.
"I'll tell Katara, you need to stay at school today, she sent us all on a mission so your not getting past Suki," Toph warned as he looked at his sleeve that she grabbed.
"I'm not scared of Suki," Zuko said flatly.
"Katara?" She smirked.
"That's different,"
"I'm not skipping the day, he just hasn't texted in a while so I'm just checking," Zuko shook her off but Olivia grabbed his hand.
"Can I help?" She asked sweetly.
"Uh no," he frowned.
"Come on Zuko I don't have friends here," Olivia smiled holding his hand and stood up.
"It's personal, I don't want people at my house," Zuko huffed annoyed.
"I don't like strangers at my house," he urged.
"Aw we're friends?" Toph cooed.
"Well we don't have to be strangers," Olivia squeezed his hand and Zuko felt nauseous.
"Who are You? I just met you, will you fuck off?" Zuko yanked his hand back and stormed off annoyed.
Olivia blinked surprised but blush spread across her cheek as he slammed the door behind him. She smiled a little with her heart beating faster against her chest.
