Chapter 13 -Surprise!

5 months later...

Sara's POV:

Marshall's album the MMLP had been a huge success making it the best selling hip hop album of all time. Now more than ever he had marked a definite spot in the music industry. And I am just overjoyed with everything good happening in Marshall's career. But now it's my turn. I'm about to release in just a few days my debut album under Aftermath and I'm a bit uneasy about how the public will receive my new music. My new record is called Girl Like Me and I just want my fans as well as other people to know that I am a lot more musically diverse than they think.

Throughout these last couple of months Marshall and I have been extremely busy. Besides being a singer I also act on the side. I had been working on a car racing movie that I believe will be called Fast and Furious. Marshall has been promoting his album, doing concerts,working on new possible projects, and still trying to take care of his daughter. I know that he will also go on tour soon. Thankfully, I don't know how, but we've managed to make time for each other.

We've been dating for about 6 months, more or less. In the past couple of weeks there have been plenty of instances that I've almost told him I loved him, but I don't want to pressure him to say it back. One of these days I might just say it just so he knows I'm really serious about us. I also haven't gotten to meet Hailie or Alaina yet but I know that they are the most important thing in his world so not just anybody gets to meet them.

I was invited over for dinner at Dre's house tonight. I talked to his wife Nicole a little bit ago and she said that they also invited some other close friends to chill and hang out for a couple hours.

I changed into a loose red jumpsuit with some nude Manolo sandals. Some gold accessories which I love. My hair is in small waves with my hair tucked behind my ears, lightly coated with gel to hold it in place. Natural makeup nothing crazy just something to make me look presentable.

I got into my Range Rover yes I know typical. I arrived at their house in about 30 minutes. I got out of my car and knocked on the door of their huge mansion.

"Hey sweetie." Nicole hugged me.

"Hi, oh my god I am so excited to be here I needed a night like this."

We walked towards the kitchen.

"Wow all this smells amazing." She had a variety of foods and desserts that looked mouthwatering. " Would you like me to help you with something?"

"No I wouldn't want you to get your pretty self dirty. Plus I'm already done."

Dre came in" Hey girl, thanks for coming." He hugged me.

"No problem."

"Actually Sara could you put these wine bottles on the table?" Nicole asked politely.

"Of course."

I took the wine bottles in my hands and walked towards the dining area.

"Hey baby," a voice said as they wrapped there hands around me and rested their chin on my shoulder.

I put the bottles down on the table and turned around. It was such a pleasant surprise. I hugged him with all my might.

"Oh my god honey. Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"I looked at Marshall a little teary eyed.

"Cause.I mean look at the reaction I got from you." He brushed my cheek.

I smiled and gave him a deep kiss.

"Thank you for this that was really nice of you."

After dinner Marshall and I decided to stay a little longer at Dre's for a small chat.

"So did you like Marshall's surprise?" Dre chuckled.

"I wasn't surprised at all really, but it was a nice gesture." I joked.

"Oh really? Not surprised."He then spoke in a high pitched voice trying to resemble me," Oh my god honey. Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"He also added a number of over exaggerated sobs.

Nicole and Dre laughed and I couldn't help myself so I did as well.

"Anyway so where are the kids?" I asked cause I hadn't seen them at all.

"They're over at my sister's house. We just wanted an adult night since we haven't had a gathering like this in a while." Nicole responded.

"Adult night, we all know what that means." Marshall commented.

"Babe, really?" I said softly to him.

"What?" He said all innocent.

"Man shut up." Dre laughed.

"Nicole would you like me to help you clean up?" I asked her first because I really wanted to get out of the room looking at where the conversation had gone, and second I couldn't just leave Nicole with all the dirty mess.

"If you wouldn't mind I would gladly appreciate your help."

"Yes, of course." and with that we both exited to get the house in order.

Marshall's POV:

"So how are you and Sara doing?" Dre asked in all seriousness.

"We are actually really good. Yea she's growing on me man. She has to be hands down the sweetest girl I've ever met."

"Yea she is I agree. I can see that she is 100 percent committed to you, but judging about your history with the ladies are you on the same page?"

"To be honest I really like her, but I don't know Dre. "

"Well I'm just telling you, she's good for you and I really hope you don't let someone like her pass you by.Alright man?"

"Yea I get what you're saying."
