Chapter 22 -On Cloud 9

Sara's POV:

I just finished talking to Marshall. In a week he should be bringing the tour to Cali. For Marshall Detroit is everything to him and he doesn't plan on leaving his city anytime. For me Cali is my home where I've grown up and I love it. Now I'm not saying that we're moving in together or anything any time soon but further down the line I would love for us to get more serious and I know that moving to the West Coast isn't an option for Marshall since Hailie is especially on the other side of the country. I really love him though. Even though he does have temper issues and other things what people don't know and what usually doesn't get transmitted through his music, is the fact that he is a genuinely great guy. He is an absolute great father, friend, and mate. Under that facade that he puts up about not giving a fuck he is nice and funny and caring and I just fall for him even more each day. He is also sometimes kinda shy, but with him being in the public eye he tries for it not to let it get to him. Surprisingly my dad is a fan of his music and is willing to give him a chance as long as he doesn't hurt me. My mom on the other hand doesn't appreciate his lyrics at all but is trying to be happy for me because she trusts that I am smart enough to make good choices.

I am meeting my best friend Gaby for dinner today at Giorgio Baldi,my favorite restaurant since I love Italian food.

After blow drying my hair I changed into some light distressed jeans nude pointy small heels a white shirt and put my hair up in a bun. My make up was only the basics with a small winged eyeliner and untransferable matte red lipstick.

She was sitting at a table towards the back and immediately got up when she saw me.

"Hi best friend. Long time no see." she said as she hugged me.

"Yea I know it's been too long but we've both been busy."

"Me? Busy? No psshh. I'm just an architect." she said jokingly showing off.

"Ha. Well I'm a mega superstar. Nah I'm just playing. So anything new in your life?"

"Not really just developing some ideas for some potential projects and I'm about to go to Mexico cause my parents want me to go with them so."

"Well that's nice. Kinda like a little vacation. Plus you need that. I mean you just graduated a few months ago and you're already working full time. You need to breathe Gabriella."

"Yea yea I know. But you too and you're just getting started on your promo run for your new album I mean talk about busy and needing a breath."

"Well yea but I love my job most of the time it doesn't even feel like work. "

"So how's your life going Miss Loveydovey?"

"What?" I couldn't help but smile.

"What do you mean what? We haven't talked about Mr. Eminem yet or do you think I forgot? How long have you guys been together now? What like 7 or 8 months and we still haven't appropriately talked about your boyfriend like friends should."

"Oh my god Gaby well we've seen each other briefly a couple times and right now is the first time we have been able to sit down and chat. Just chill okay. So what do you want to know?"

"Umm well. How does he treat you? Is he any different from his music?"

"In some ways he is different from his music. He does have some dark sense humor sometimes and issues just like any one but none the less he is very humble.He doesn't like showing off or extravagant things and is quite low key. He treats me well. There are times when we do have problems but its normal. And we're in love so."

"Omg! You guys are in love. Did he tell you first or did you?"

"I did. He told me some weeks after when I met his daughter."

"Oh yea you told me about meeting her. So how was it?"

"Everything went great. I was nervous at first but she's very sweet and outgoing so she made it easy. I think we get along just fine."

"You've always seemed very happy and upbeat, but right now with you dating Marshall/Eminem I don't know what you call him, you seem different but in a good way. You seem more self assured and like your life is finally unfolding."

"Yea I'm just in a really good place in my life."

I feel like I'm on top of the world right now. Everything is perfect.
