Sara's POV:
Thursday
I started my day with some coffee to wake me up a bit. I decided it was time to take a shower. After I got out I blow dried my hair. I changed into some distressed light washed jeans, black flip flops, a white tank, and the jewelry that I usually wear. I did my hair in a side braid. A couple minutes after Erika told me that she would arrive at my condo soon.
4 minutes later I hear a honk and know that it's Erika waiting for me. I quickly grab my Ray Bans and Steve Madden Limited Edition handbag as I head out the door.
I jumped in the car. About 25 minutes after we arrived at Dr.Dre's studio. I got out as did Erika. We were greeted by two security men who asked my name. As soon as I told them who I was they let us in.
"Hello, I'm Dre. Nice to meet you."
He said as soon as I walked in. He apparently was by himself."Hi, Sara Grayson. Very happy to finally get the chance to meet you." I shook his hand. "This is Erika Badias, my manager."
"Hi." Dre briefly said to her as he shook her hand as well. "Go on take a seat," he said pointing toward the very elegant chairs " I'm actually in the middle of doing some finishing touches to a song that I'm doing with Eminem. I don't know if you've heard of him."
"Oh yea the rapper. Sure I've heard of him. So where exactly is he?" I asked.
" He went on an early lunch break. He needed to take a break after spitting a really dope verse. But he should be here any second."
We had just finished talking about my contract when he walked in along side some other guy.
Dre stood up to introduce us." This is Sara Grayson and her manager Erika Badias." He then introduced the guys."And this is Marshall and Proof." We all shook hands and sat down. After Erika and Dre took a seat near a table close by to discuss paperwork, I was left sitting next to Marshall and Proof. Then somebody decided to break the silence.
" So are you gonna be signing under Interscope now?" Proof questioned.
"Yea I wasn't really feeling what my former label had in mind for my career so I chose to finish my contract and get signed somewhere else." I replied taking a quick glance at Marshall. He was looking right at me so I decided to talk to him.
"I heard you're from Detroit. Is that true?"
"Yea I am actually. So is my friend Proof here." He replied a little intimidated if I do say so myself.
Marshall's POV:
God, when I first saw Sara she took my breath away. She was much prettier in person and I'm not quite sure how that's possible.
Next thing I knew she was talking to me. She appeared to be really humble to my surprise, despite the success she's had so far.
" I've actually gotten the opportunity to visit there, stopped by some local places, it was a great experience." She said.
She was actually rather nice about it. Some just straight up talk shit about the D.
"Yea I know that it may not seem like the best place on earth, but I love it there. It's where I grew up and I would never turn my back to it."
Then Proof backed me up, " Yup, me neither."
As soon as he said that Erika and Dre walked over to us.
"We actually have to head off now. We got some other projects we're working on and we have other meetings to attend." Erika said bursting my bubble. Jeez was I enjoying the small talk I was having with Sara.
Sara looked at Proof and I apologetically, " Sorry about that. Guess we"ll finish our conversation some other time." They said their goodbyes and left.
Sara's POV:
"So what were you and Marshall talking about, huh?" Erika asked as we got in the car.
"Nothing. Just about where he was from."
"Mmhmm, yea right he was probably asking for your number." She added as she drove off the driveway.
"What? No! He was actually very polite and his friend as well."
"You know I don't really recommend getting involved with him."
"What do you mean involved with him?"
" I'm talking about involved with him romantically. I've heard things about him and they're not so good. Like the fact that he has immense hatred for all women and only likes one night stands."
"I'm sure there's more to that story."
"Of course I forgot who I was talking to here. You're Sara. Always giving others the benefit of the doubt."
"What did you expect? I don't like to judge someone when I barely even know them."
"Don't get your hopes up cause you will get heartbroken. People like him never change."
"Okay, Erika I got it. Can we move on now? Let's just have lunch, alright?"
And with that our conversation on Marshall Mathers ended.
Marshall's POV:
"Sweet girl, right?" Dre said interrupting my thoughts.
"Who?" I asked.
"Sara. Are you okay man? You seem kinda out of it."
"Yea I'm fine." The truth was ever since Sara left I couldn't stop thinking about her. First of all she was gorgeous. Second of all she was really down to earth. And to make matters worse I think I got star struck and maybe developing a small crush. Yea that's it. Only a small crush. At least that's what I'm trying to convince myself.
