today, yunho came into her ward being able to walk again. he looked even more bubbly and happy being able to walk around freely. and this time, he had something in his hands.

"wow, look at you!" hanabi chuckles softly as he struts in.

"yup, i'm free again! it feels good. i'm not allowed to do activities for like a week or so though because i'm still recovering but that's okay," he shrugs. hanabi was proud of him. he was always so independent and positive despite being on crutches.

he was slowly showing her how to have hope again.

"anyways, i'm not sure if you remembered that my mom owns a bakery, but i got some of her desserts for you! they're really good, it'll make you really happy. i hope."

hana's eyes widened when he sets the food in front of her. she saw some pastel coloured macarons, a fruit tart, and a slice of a strawberry sponge cake. the room already smelt like a bakery as soon as he opened the packaging.

hana was more than excited to try. she couldn't remember the last time she even saw macarons. she delightfully took a bite, and she couldn't hide the smile creeping on her face as soon as her taste buds were greeted by the sweet macarons.

it was a refreshing taste, and she was so glad she got a chance to eat it again after a very long time.

"those are good right? my mom's really good at making coffee, tea, and baking. any dessert, you ask and she shall deliver," he proudly brags. he seems really proud of having a talented mom. it warms her heart. she knew how family oriented he is. it was one thing she always admires about him.

back when they were in high school, hana would get rebellious at times but yunho would always get her on track. yunho was playful as well, but he knew exactly how to tame hana. it always worked. she's always had a soft spot for yunho, and now she feels like she still has one.

"hana, promise me you won't get mad at what i'm going to tell you?" his voice was serious, but she could hear the pleading tone hidden in it.

"depends on what it is."

"okay so hear me out, i know i'm already paying for your hospital bills but i was thinking of paying for your therapy expenses so that you can-" yunho was cut off. he knew she was going to have some sort of a reaction.

"woah woah. you want me to have therapy? no! those are expensive. hospital bills are already enough as it is. i don't want to keep burdening you."

"no hana, you're not burdening me. i'm doing this willingly. i know surgery wouldn't help much since your tumor is already big, but therapies would buy you more time. please, let me do this for you," he pleads.

"yunho, i can't keep depending on you like this. it's not right."

"i want you to depend on me though. i know that things have been very difficult for you and you have been going through a lot on your own. i want you to depend on me. i don't want you to be alone anymore."

hanabi was speechless. he was so persistent, and it made her heart flutter.

"yunho..."

"i'm sorry, but i can't let you give up so easily. not again. i know you don't have much time left but therapy would help even if it's just a little bit," he was sounding more desperate.

"are you sure about this?"

"i've never been more sure of anything in my entire life."

hana closed her eyes and sighed. as she closed her eyes, yunho gently placed his hand on top of hers, gently caressing it. hana flinched slightly at the touch. yunho thought that it made her uncomfortable so he brought his hands back to his side.

hana wasn't uncomfortable. she was startled, but mostly relieved. she hated to admit it, but she missed his touch. he always made her feel so safe around him. it was taking her back.

yunho then looked at her wrist, then at his own. they were bare. he remembered that back in their high school days when they were dating, their wrists weren't bare. he touched his wrist, trying to take himself back to those times.

"babe, give me your hand."

"what? why?"

"just give it. you trust me right?"

he smiles and holds his hand out. "of course."

"thank you." she gently held his hand in hers and took out something from her back. it was a set of metal bracelet. she sets one down as she took the other one and puts it around his wrist. it was a magnetic bracelet.

"there you go," she smiles proudly and gently caressed his hand.

he looked at it, his eyes filled with admiration. "what's the special occasion?"

"there's no special occasion. i happened to past by a vintage store and i thought these were really cute so i got it."

she lets go of his hand and picked up the other bracelet, putting it on herself. then she took his hand again.

"this represents our relationship, sort of. no matter what happens, we'll always come back to each other. there will be times where we'll argue or grow distant," she breaks the bracelet around his wrist as she speaks. "but then we'll always come back to each other and be okay again," she smiles as she connects the two magnetic ends of the bracelet again.

he looked at her fondly, with so much love in his eyes. he thought that he had just witnessed the most adorable thing. the way she sincerely speaks about the relationship, it did something to him. at that point, he knew that he had found the one.

she stops smiling when she saw him staring at her, just smiling to himself. "sorry, was i being too strange?"

he took her hands and intertwined their fingers together. "no, baby. you're just so fucking cute i can hear you talk about us all day and i wouldn't get tired of it," he softly speaks as he kissed the back of her hand. he could see a tint of pink on her cheeks. he always loved his effect on her, no matter how long they've been together.

"oh but you wouldn't want me to talk all day, trust me," she chuckled, trying to play it off.

"it's you, i don't mind it," he cups her cheeks and kissed her forehead. she couldn't stop smiling. she was truly grateful for having him with her. she too, was convinced that she had found the one. she pulled him close and hugged him, her head snuggled on his chest as he caresses her hair.

hanabi opened her eyes again, only to find yunho daydreaming, staring at his wrist. she raised her eyebrow, wondering what he was thinking about.

"yunho?" her voice brought him back to reality. he cleared his throat as he looks at her. "yeah?"

"i'll do it. i'll go for therapy," she breathed.

"really?!" his eyes widened as his lips curled into a small smile. she nodded. "but i need you to do me a small favour before i start going to therapy."

"sure, anything,"
