yunho always had hanabi's words in his head. ever since hanabi told him to pursue his dreams, he's been practising hard. there was a point of time he thought of taking a break from basketball because he needed more time to take care of hanabi. he was going to devote his time to her.
he prioritised her over mostly anything, and it was ticking his coach off. his coach needed him to be completely focused during practice in order to perform well, and he can't have him leaving mid practice so frequently. so he wanted to take a break. he wanted to be there for hanabi while he can. while she still has time.
but hanabi convinced him that he should focus on what he wants to do. it's the least he could do. for himself and for her. she wanted him to do what he wants to do and chase his dreams. she couldn't do it herself, so she at least wants to see her loved one do it. for himself.
yunho was happy with his progress. he was getting motivated each day to do well in school and in basketball, and hanabi was doing fairly okay.
yunho knew that sooner or later he had to tell her the truth before it's too late. he so badly wanted her to know that he's still madly in love with her. it was probably already obvious enough. even if he refused to admit it, his actions proves everything. he was even willing to set his dreams aside just to be with her while he can.
yunho was on a quest, searching for a magnetic couple bracelet. he couldn't find the exact ones he had 3 years ago, but he found a pretty good quality one.
he was determined to tell her how he truly feels, and he hopes that she would feel the same way too.
today was just a regular day. he visited hanabi and they were hanging out together, talking about whatever.
hanabi even told him that she could write more sentences than she usually can, and her short story was going to be complete soon. yunho was proud of her. he liked seeing her happy, doing things she never got to do before.
yunho was waiting for the right time. he was sure that he was going to tell her today. it was very risky, considering the fact that she might have another episode. she might be stressed and not have a positive reaction.
but he had to do it eventually. and he decided that today was the right time.
"hana, wanna see what i got today?"
"what is it?"
he smirked before taking out a small box, revealing a couple bracelet. it was magnetic too.
hanabi froze at the sight. it was taking her back. back to simpler times, where life was good back then.
"may i?" he politely asked, in which she nodded, still speechless.
"it's not exactly the same as the ones we used to have, but i thought these ones were pretty," he explains as he carefully puts it around her wrist.
"yunho..."
"i still remember what you said when you gave this to me. you said that it reminded you of us. how we'd always come back to each other no matter what. and i still remember the look on your face, and how your eyes were glistening as you said it. i could never forget that. it was the most beautiful thing i had ever witnessed."
hanabi was could feel her eyes getting watery, and her heart getting heavier.
"can i?" hanabi asked with a sniffle, looking at the other bracelet in the box. yunho smiles and nods happily.
she took the bracelet and placed it around his wrist, holding his hand in hers for awhile. he didn't seem to mind it. he ended up lacing their fingers together.
