Meanwhile, Gianna was going on dates with Tobi. As days went by, she felt a growing attraction to Tobi. She started doubting her sexuality, and she began to feel that there was a possibility she had fallen for her best friend. One day, after a movie date with Tobi, Gianna leaned into kiss her. Tobi was surprised. She asked, "You're not doing this for me, right?" Gianna replied, "No. I think I've genuinely grown to love you." Tobi was really happy and she gave Gianna a big hug. Tobi was happy that the feelings she had harbored for Gianna all these years were finally being reciprocated. But Gianna was feeling confused. Yes, she was in love with Gianna, but she had grown up thinking that she had to date and marry only men. It was always ingrained in her head that she was a straight woman, but after dating Tobi, she came to realize that maybe her sexuality isn't what she thought it would be. 

She thought long about it and came to the terms that she was bisexual. She was attracted to both males and females. She was happy that she finally understood herself and her true sexuality, but she was very worried. She knew that Kyle would support her, but she wasn't sure about her other family members. Would her eldest brother and parents dislike her? Or worse, would they disown her, like Tobi's parents did to her brother? Tobi hid the fact that she was lesbian from her parents, in fear of getting disowned. Now, Gianna was unsure as to whether to do the same. First, she talked to Kyle about this. She tried to get his insight on this matter. He told her to be open and honest and tell the rest of the family. 

After mustering enough confidence, she finally came out to the rest of her family. She told them how she was bisexual, and was attracted to both males and females. Kyle was proud of her, while the rest of her family stood in shock. After a few minutes, her father gave her a big hug and said, "I'm proud that my little girl is all grown up." Gianna felt relieved that her father had accepted the fact that she was bi. Liam looked at her and said, "Well, everyone has their own preference. I'm glad you had the courage to tell us." Again, Gianna felt a sense of relief. But then she was worried, because her mother didn't say anything. "Gianna. I'm not sure how to say this, but ever since I was a little girl, I've always wanted to be a mother of a daughter. I've always dreamed of raising a little princess. And I've also wished that she become successful and to marry a prince. But, what I've realized is that my princess' happiness matters the most, whether she falls in love with a prince or a princess," said her mother with tears in her eyes. Gianna's smile widened and she ran over to give her mom a big hug. 

The family decided to prepare a coming-out party for Gianna. There was a lot of music, food, and games at the party, and Gianna had a great time. Tobi was invited to the party, but Gianna didn't tell her parents that they were dating, because she didn't want to out Tobi. Liam invited his friends and Laura (although she chose not to come due to her busy schedule), and Kyle invited Evelyn and his roommates over. Evelyn personally congratulated Gianna and said that she was proud of her. It was a great party and Tobi felt extremely proud of Gianna for coming out. 

A few weeks later, Evelyn received a mysterious text reading, "Meet me at Bluebell Park at 6 PM".
