Laura, on the other hand, decided to forget about Liam, love, and relationships. She decided to focus on solely on her career. She worked hard to gain popularity, by attending fanmeets frequently and giving out autographs. She launched her own makeup brand as well, and was able to become rich and famous. And successful. She loved being happy and successful, but she also missed having a boyfriend. Whenever her co-workers would talk about their significant others, she would feel a little sad that she was no longer with Liam. However, she did gain world-wide fame and easily became recognized in the Top 10 Female Celebrities and Top 100 Beautiful Women. She was extremely happy, but she missed having Liam by his side. Often times, she would google him on the Internet, to see how he was doing. She was oddly happy to know that he hadn't dated or been with any other woman after breaking up with her. However, she did casually go out with her co-stars to whom she felt a mutual attraction. She had friends-with-benefits relations with them, but she never once fell in love. She never had an actual boyfriend and it bugged her so much. She knew her relationship with Liam had been toxic, and that missing her toxic ex was bad, but she still missed him anyway. 

On the other hand, Liam missed Laura a lot. He wished that they never broke up, and he secretly prayed that she still had feelings for him, which she did. He stopped being a playboy, and even his own parents and siblings were surprised, when he said he did not have a girlfriend. His heart would sink everytime he would read the news and learn that Laura had a new boyfriend or fling. He almost always lost hope, but still continued on, regardless. He improved in his career too, becoming a great and admirable CEO for his company. The time spent apart from each other bettered Laura and Liam individually, but there was still a void in their hearts. Laura was surprised to know that Liam did not date anyone after her, and that made her reconsider her decision of dumping him. Maybe he was really in love with her? And Liam was more heartbroken to learn of Laura's new boyfriends, but was slightly glad that they were all just flings and barely lasted a week or two. However one day, Laura's new boyfriend (of two months) proposed to her. She was flustered, but replied by saying that she needed time to think it over. Liam found out about the proposal through the news, and he was angry that she never told him. But he knew that he couldn't wait any longer. The more he delayed, he knew that it increased the chance of him losing Laura forever. 

So, he decided to go back to Laura, and beg her to take him back. He was 100% sure now, that he truly loved Laura, and that letting go of her would be the most foolish mistake he could ever do.
