a miracle

"Evelyn, don't leave me. I can't live without you," he cried. After two minutes, the ambulance arrived, and Kyle cried as they placed Evelyn on the stretcher. Inside the ambulance, the paramedics tried their best to revive Evelyn, but they were unsuccessful. By the time they had arrived at the hospital, the paramedics believed that Evelyn was dead, however the doctor was able to find a pulse, and said that there may be a 0.01% chance that Evelyn was still alive. As the doctors and nurses tried to resuscitate Evelyn, Kyle was outside the ICU crying. Gianna and Kyle's mother were extremely sad too. Liam and his dad heard about what happened to Evelyn and they rushed to the hospital. They paid for Evelyn's medical treatment, and they left, because they had an important meeting. Gianna and Kyle's mother tried to console Kyle. Kyle kept praying to God to save Evelyn's life. After all, Evelyn was the one who had given meaning to Kyle's life. When they were children, Kyle tried to end his life, but he was saved by Evelyn, who said that she would always be there for him. Kyle cried his heart out, and he kept praying that Evelyn would survive. 

After a few hours, the doctors informed Kyle that they were able to save Evelyn. Kyle profusely thanked the doctors. He was relieved and happy that she had survived. They explained that this was a miracle, and that Evelyn was in a critical condition. They said that she was heavily impacted by the trauma. They told Kyle to take care of Evelyn, and to make sure that she never got stressed by anything. They said that Evelyn had regained consciousness but would not be able to move her hands or legs, and would not be able to speak for atleast six hours. After Evelyn was transferred from the ICU to the general ward, Kyle was allowed to see her. At the sight of Evelyn, Kyle broke out into tears again. "Evelyn," he sobbed. Evelyn was happy to see her and she was happy to know that she was alive. She wanted to console Kyle, but could not move her limbs or speak. A tear rolled down her cheek. She weakly smiled. Kyle clasped her hand and said, "I thought I was going to lose you. I missed you." After a while, Kyle's mom and Gianna went to visit Evelyn. "You saved my son's life. I'm grateful for you, dear," Kyle's mother said. "I'm sorry you had to go through all of this. I'm really grateful. Thank you." Gianna started to cry. "I thought I was going to lose my friend. Thanks for surviving. I'm so happy you're alive." Evelyn was happy to see Gianna and her mother, and Kyle, of course. 

After six hours, she was able to move her limbs and speak, and Kyle was overjoyed. They hugged, kissed, and cried. They were very happy. However, the doctors said that Evelyn needed to stay in the hospital for one more week. They said that she had not fully recovered. Evelyn was worried about attending her college lectures, but Kyle assured her that he would give her his notes to study. After an hour, Kyle realized that he had forgot to inform Laura about Evelyn. Laura came rushing to the hospital, upon receiving a phone call from Kyle (using Evelyn's phone). She berated Kyle for not informing her about Evelyn. The two sisters embraced and cried. The doctors requested that one person stay with Evelyn, to monitor her and take care of her. Of course, Kyle volunteered first, but Evelyn declined, telling him he needed to focus on college. Gianna also had college, and Laura had an important film shoot. "I have a film shoot in three days, but it's fine, I'll take care of my sister," said Laura. Evelyn replied, "No, it's fine. Don't skip your shoot." "I'll take care of her, don't worry," said Kyle's mother. "You? No way. I can't trust my sister with a strange woman. What if something happens to Evelyn? She's already in a critical condition," said Laura. "Laura, it's alright. She's actually Kyle's mom. I know her. She's really sweet," said Evelyn. Laura rolled her eyes, told Evelyn to take care, and pushed past Kyle's mom and walked out of the room. Little did she know that Kyle's mother was Liam's step-mother. 

Evelyn said, "I'm sorry, ma'am. My sister is a bit--." "It's alright, sweetie. I was like that when I was young, too," said his mother.
