ISLA SCRATCHED HER HEAD INCESSANTLY AS SHE SAT OVER HER MATHS HOMEWORK, scribbling down nonsensical answers onto her page as she resisted the urge to eat the chocolate bar she had promised to eat after she'd done her thirty minutes of study.

It had been exactly twenty-eight hours since her principal called her into his office and forwarded her grandmother's threat to her and Isla hadn't done a single thing to stop her head from rolling off her shoulders.

Whether Isla was challenging her mother's threat to get on her nerves or just genuinely didn't care wasn't something she wasn't too sure of because again, she had been procrastinating the phone call for a whole day again.

There was no way in hell she was making that phone call and no one, not even her own self, could convince her that was going to call Paxton.

Teresa walked in, her earphones hooked behind her neck and dangling from her shoulders as she wiped the sweat that dripped down her forehead. Isla looked at her with a warm smile on her face but the younger girl had dismissed it.

"Hey." Isla greeted, drumming her pen along the paper causing it to make large thwacking sounds Teresa ignored her as per usual, making her way over to the fridge and opened it rather aggressively. Isla was sure Teresa would've ripped the door off its hinges if she hadn't tightened the screws the other day. Despite that, she was confused as to why Teresa was here, after all everyone else had gone out to watch some action movie while Isla stayed at home, having being punished for not attending school last Friday. "Shouldn't you be with the others?"

"Shouldn't you be minding your own business?" Teresa retorted, pulling out a bottle of milk.

Isla narrowed her eyes at the girl because one, she wasn't able to think of a remark fast enough and two, she was slowly starting to think that Teresa was aware of Cernunnos, even a potential member

First of all, she was certain many undercover members were working for Cernunnos. Her foster parents and Ms Vane (although she wasn't too sure of this one yet). And then there were the people who knew of their existence, her grandmother and most her principal (again, she wasn't too sure of this one )

It wouldn't have been too far fetched for Teresa to be on the watch for Isla in hopes of killing or protecting her. Also, the fact she showed up two weeks, the day after Isla was originally supposed to show up at the foster home supported her theory better.

But then again, Teresa didn't seem to care too much about Isla's well-being, both girls barely having run-ins with each other despite sharing the same room and living under the same roof. In fact, Isla hadn't run into the girl since last Saturday when she had to look over Isla when she hung out with Peter.

Teresa chugged down the milk from the bottle, watching Isla as the girl furrowed and relaxed her brows constantly in her general direction, "What's stressing you out." She asked, wiping off a milk moustache from her cupid's bow.
