I tap my hand against the steering wheel as I drive to the creek. "Can you just calm down." "Calm down?" I snapped at Kol. "It's my brothers ring." "That I got sent. To my house! My house where my children live!" I said to him trying to focus on the road. Damon put his hand on my knee and squeezed it I looked a thin briefly and forced a smile. I had to leave them to go on a trail like I was doing a fracking scavenger hunt whilst who knows what is out there watching us all.

Eli was staying at the school Klaus managed to convince her to stay for the week. So we had a week to figure this all out. And she was only staying there because he promised to stay there. "I'm just staying your girls have magical-"you're not a parent okay! You don't know what it feels like when your child is under threat." "They didn't threaten your child." He defended. "It came to the house!" I slammed my foot on the break. "Chill the fuck out." "Get out of my car." I tell him in a calm tone. "What we're on the middle of the free way!" "Then you can compel yourself a ride to the creek." I tell him. He didn't move. "GET OUT MY CAR!" I snapped.

I don't know why Klaus made me bring him along of all people. He makes me want to murder him. Like I don't know how I ever thought it was a good idea to sleep with him... maybe because he wasn't talking so much when I did. He got out the car slamming the door shut.

"Bella." Damon tried. "No." I tell him flatly. "Unless you want to join him on the side of the road I suggest you just shush for a minute." I tell him trying to keep my emotions at bay. I was scared for my children. I left them in town, yes they were well protected and well looked after but I would rather have them with me. I would rather no be looking for the sender of this stupid ring either! But here I am in a stupid car driving out of the city to the creek where the address was to find out what the hell was going on.

"He knows something." I said. "You're being paranoid." I shake my head. I knew Kol. "He was adamant the girls will be fine... how does he know that?" "Because Klaus is looking after them." "Klaus died in front of us at Eli's birth... how is he so sure they'll be fine?" "Bella you're over think it." "No I'm not he knows something... and I want to know what he knows." "So kicking him out of the car is the way to do that?" "Yeah... because he's going to think I don't know anything when in actual fact we have his phone." I say reaching the back for it whilst Damon took the wheel. I swapped him and took back control of the car. "His password is my birthday." I tell him. "Why?" "Because ehe's Kol." I tell him he punched in the date and then I told him to go to his messages.

"Theres a text from a number... I sent it. Did she get it? Are you on your way? Is the house clear? Where are the girls?" I spun the car around in the middle of the road and headed home. "How did you know?" "Spending a 100 years with someone you get pretty clued up on their tell tail signs." I tell him.

"Call Eli." He called her but it rang to answering machine. She would have been in class. "Try Stef." I tell him and the same response. "I'm gonna call Stefan." He told me. "Where are the girls?" He asked when Stefan answered. "Um." "Stefan where are MY girls?" He asked again. "We don't know. We don't know where any of them are." "Something's happening. Go check the manor." Damon told him. "Call me if you find anything." He warned his younger brother. "Try Josie, she would most likely answer if they're up to something. All five of them can't just disappear." I tell him. "It'll be okay, we'll figure this out." He told me. I was in and out of traffic in attempt to get home as quick as possible. We were a while out of town. not quiet left the city yet. So that was good.

"Eli you need to call me. What ever you're doing you're not in trouble you just need to go back to the school." Damon said leaving an answer phone message. "What if they're hurt?" I asked him taking my eyes off the road to get his honest reaction. He looked worried. "They know how to fight, how to protect themselves. I taught them." He said firmly. "You taught them all they know about magic." "What if it's not enough? What if they're scared Dee?" "Eli has her bracelet on... right?" "I don't know I left so quickly this morning I didn't check like I normally do. And I didn't get Stef's fixed." I rubbed my face frustrated at myself for not getting the clasp fixed sooner.
