I woke up the next day to my alarm going off and I smack the dismiss button on my phone before turning over.

Or attempting to...someone's arms were holding me against them, and all these terrible thoughts came rushing to my head.

What the fuck is going on?

I'm a little relieved that I still have my clothes on. I slowly pull the sheets back to see Theo's arm and I take a deep breath before slapping him.

"Isa! What the fuck is wrong with you!"

He yells, groaning as he puts his head deeper in the pillows.

"I thought you were a rapist, I was scared."

He looks at me for a second, squinting his eyes.

"Isabella that doesn't even make sense. How did they randomly get inside? First, it was serial killers, now this. You're getting paranoid. I'm concerned."

"Oh, shut the hell up! Remove your arm, I'm not some human pillow."

I tell him, nudging him.

He laughs and holds me tighter.

"First of all, you were the one last night begging me to stay with you until you fell asleep. I just so happened to also fall asleep. You've used me as a pillow countless times, now leave me alone so I can sleep."

I shake my head and push him back, "We can't do that. We have classes and priorities."

He groans and gets up, stretching and I smile at how messy his hair looks.

Theo's mom is Hawaiian, and his dad is Black which gave him dark brown curly hair and somehow green eyes.

His eyes are the thing that every girl falls in love with but for some reason, they bothered me.

They were a beautiful color, that was for sure, but the way they seemed to be critiquing me and always piercing in my soul made me feel insecure.

There were times in our friendship when I wonder why Theo was friends with someone like me, an average person with plain brown eyes and nothing much going on.

I've never said anything to him, but there's something in the way he looks at me, like he waiting for me to do something too humiliating or crazy.

I think it was one of the reasons I tried to make it work with James. Because I didn't want to see that look, like why didn't you just listen to me or why did you stay with him.

I couldn't face him when James broke up with me, I couldn't face those piercing green eyes.

"You okay? You look like you zoned out."

I nod at him, getting out of the bed and finding my towel and rag.

"Yeah, I'm going to get ready."

"Mona, thank God."

Mona smiles at me, handing the cup of hot cocoa over to me.

"You're welcome, ready for class?"

I make a sad face as we head into the building.

"No, I'm going to die of boredom."

Mona and I had American Government together. It was taught by a very boring teacher, and I mean falling asleep boring.

She seems like a nice lady, but Mrs. Morrison's voice could put the world to sleep.

I'm sure of it.
