.. 6:20 p.m. ..

as the air passed through the open window, they stared out.  the bright lights of l.a. shone, shining onto their faces. alex admired ami's beautiful features. her small nose with a bump, her rosy cheeks, and her smaller lips. her forehead had bangs laced on top of it, the rest of her hair put to her shoulders in pigtails. she was smiling, with her eyes being the brightest brown alex thought he'd ever seen. he smiled at her, hoping she wouldn't notice yet. he looked to the ground, then to his hands, sighing.

"are you okay, alex?"

"uh, yeah. just had some stuff going on lately."

"talk to me then." ami responded calmly, putting one of her hands on his. he blushed, feeling warmth spread in his cheeks and shook it off.

"well i've just had to manage a few things and people have quit on me lately, it sucks. ya know?" he vents.

"yeah. i hate when that stuff happens." she looks down to her lap, pulling her hand away and fiddling with her other.

he thought that she probably wouldn't fully understand, as he was talking of a few editors and friends quitting on him. he glanced back out the window. "yup. sometimes, i wish i was someone else."

"like who?"

"i dunno.. like Pitbull."

"oh my god, you have to be joking!"

"of course i was!" they both giggled, alex rubbing his hands on his face.

"well, i wouldn't mind trying to see what it's like being a youtuber. they seem to have it easy, as least with the internet."

"i wish it was easy.." he mumbled, clasping his hands over his mouth when he realized what he'd said. "f*ck."

"what was that?" ami questioned.

"i wish i could do that too, that's all. which ones would you wanna be?"

"i'd like to be someone like wilbur soot. someone who can look good, do music, and play games. all while being mostly supported by the internet."

"ah.. anyone else?"

"yeah. maybe pokimane or nihachu! they're pretty cool gamer girls."

"yeah, i've met them."

"you have?" ami acted dumb.

"uh, yeah. i've been in a few talent videos, ya know!"

"that's cool, what's the name of them? i wanna watch!"

"actually they're not all that cool, you don't need to!" alex grabs her phone she was pulling out, holding it beside him nervously. he didn't want to ruin his chances with someone by showing them his chaotic youtube channel.

"really, pendejo?"

"yes, really. they're actually so lame!"

"then why can't we laugh about it?"

"uh, because we have to get off the bus now!" alex makes up a valid excuse, noticing shops to the right of the bus.

"oh, yeah. i forgot about the shopping!"

"who's a idiot now?"

"still you, alex." she blew a kiss at him, winking before shoving herself out and into the isle. he stayed still, slightly confused before hearing a small noise from ami. "you coming still?"

"yeah, sorry. i spaced out!" he muttered, stepping into the isle and following behind the girl.

"lame!" ami said, poking alex's shoulder.

he rubbed it off before grabbing her hand and moving towards a store.

"wait, where are we going, alex?"

"somewhere, puta."

"rude!" ami retorts, letting alex lead her away from the stop.

they continued down the lit streets, alex pulling her into a Claire's store, ami snickering at the choice.

"i need to get some ear piercing for my friend. gotta get the girliest ones!" alex smirked.

"oh yeah? well why don't we see who can find the girliest ones and check out faster?"

"fine! i'm sure that i'll win, though!"

"as if!" ami replied, already beginning to search the many spinning racks on one side of the store.

alex followed, soon finding a nine pack of earrings. there was two ice cream pairs, four donut pairs, one muffin pair, one llama/alpaca pair, and one unicorn pair. he rushed to the check out and left the store once he paid. he sat on a nearby bench, not seeing amitola. ami had only found sparkly mermaid tail earrings on her side of the store. she paid and left, searching for alex outside. she walked for a moment before getting tapped on the shoulders.

"looking for someone?" alex said with a smirk.

"you dummy." ami replied, smiling and shoving her face into his chest.

"what? i was just checking! besides, you most definitely lost. i've been waiting for what feels like hours. the sun is even setting now."

"let's go somewhere to get a good view of it then, alex!"

"huh? why?" he asked, as she connected their elbows, tugging him towards a small nearby bridge.

(this is not real. i couldn't find any beaches or areas close enough to a area filled with stores to suit this situation and i've wrote the whole chapter, so i'm not gonna change it.)
