Stepping through the massive golden gates, I try once more to take off the stubborn armor clinging to my body like glue. Pushing and pulling with all my might, the helm sitting atop my head as it clings to me like a tick. Panting from fear and exertion, I look over to Thor, worried and scared. "I-it won't come off." Attempting to remove it one more time, stopping mid stride grunting with effort. The armor having no give whatsoever.
"Allow me to help." Nodding to him I kneel down on the ground, Thor grabs the helm firmly in his large hands and pulls with all his might. Only succeeding in pulling me across the shiny golden floor. The helm remains on my head still firmly attached, along with the body armor. Odin having heard the commotion, sits up in his throne seeing the two of us struggling across the room.
"What is the problem my son?" Odin steps off his throne holding his staff tightly, walking towards the both of us in a brisk pace Frigga walking closely behind him.
"The armor cannot be removed.." Odin stands in front of me, grabbing my arm with the bracelet he looks at it, humming to himself in thought. The serpent's gem eyes glowing vibrantly with energy.
"It appears.. the fates have chosen you to be it's bearer." Odin looks into my eyes clearly shocked about this turn of events. Never expecting a midguardian to wield such an artifact. "After two thousand years it has finally chosen it's champion.. and it's a midguardian." Odin steps back and exhales with great disappointment, expecting one of his children to wield this mighty weapon his wife enchanted.
"What do I do? It won't come off-" Grabbing at the bracelet I try and push it off my hand, the loose metal not moving from it's place only tightening closer to my flesh. Holding itself snug against me with it's incredible grip. Almost as if the metal itself is alive and holding onto me like an anchor.
"Calm yourself child. Your heart is beating too fast. The moment you calm down it shall return to it's dormant state. I enchanted it to be so." The red haired woman walks up to me with a calming smile, inspecting the bracelet as well.
"Mother." Thor bows his head to the woman with a smile.
"I.. alright I'll try... Um.. Hoppy?" Panting softly, my anxiety at critical levels. Hoppsin peaks out of my purse hanging my by side, handing me my phone and a pair of headphones. Grabbing it from his fuzzy paws. I load up an asmr videos I have saved. "I'm gonna need a sec alone.."
"Apologies your majesty, My lady is experiencing a mild panic attack." Hoppsin leaps out of my purse as I walk to the nearest corner sliding down the wall to the floor, putting my headphones in. The sound of my armor clattering together as I move fills the room. Tuning out the rest of the world, only listening to the calming sounds of the ocean waves.. Soft gentle whispering lulling me into a state of calm serenity.
"Things like this happen when she is frightened... Oh right, forgive me, introductions.. one moment. Allow me to enter a more suitable form for this occasion your highness." Hoppsin twirls around summoning a cloud of red smoke, entering his human persona with a sassy spin. "My name is Hoppsin Bunnslby, caretaker/butler and guardian for my mistress Liza Brigg's. It is an honor to meet you your highness." Hoppsin bows deeply, flourishing the hand that he extends behind him.
"Your true form is that of a stuffed rabbit child's toy?" Odin turns around and begins to walk back to his throne, motioning for Hoppsin to follow.
"Indeed sire. My mistress chose it for me, her original toy was destroyed during childhood so when her powers blossomed she created me as a replacement." Hoppsin waves his hand towards me and a plush dragon the size of a pig scoops me up off the ground onto it's back, cocooning me in his patchwork blanket wings following Hoppsin closely. It's felt tongue lulling out as if it's a dog.
